Ah damn I just watched some of your playthroughs and reviews of this game a month ago. It is absolutely one of my favourite games of all time. I love the story I love that it has it's own theme and for me I didn't have a lot of friends so having the bots in multiplayer mode similar to Perfect Dark made for hours of fun. Wish I caught this livestream.

What I'd love to see from the Bond game, since Bond movies usually have 3 or 4 locals, is if the game had a few smaller sandboxes based in different countries and you unlock the next one through progressing the story. I know that's a bit outdated, something they used to do in Assassin's Creed, but it would actually work for Bond for that reason.

A nifty strategy for the guards in the corridors in Countdown is that when you are sneaking behind them in the rooms with the crates while following Kiko you can stick a remote mine to the wall in between their heads and then set them all off at once, ridding yourself of the eight guards in the main corridors for the full guerilla-Bond experience. The remote mines are in one of the computer security rooms near the start.

Damn, not a single death or mission failure this entire playthrough! Nicely done! I also loved how you mentioned that you initially didn't know you had to hold down the fire button on the decryptor for it to work and got stuck on Night Shift as a result. Same exact thing happened to me when I first played it too lmao! It wasn't until a friend of mine showed me that you have to hold it down that I was able to finish that mission haha. I watched your Nightfire in depth review just the other day so I knew I had to watch this next. Glad I did, fantastic playthrough! 😊😊😊

I loved this game back in the day! And honestly, I wish it did have the same bond facial design as Agent Under Fire! I thought it was cool having a unique Bond for the video games. Less uncanny valley version of Pierce, and freedom of voice actor interpretation of bond rather than impression of Pierce. Oh well!

Someone in your chat may have mentioned this (I haven’t had a chance to watch through it yet) but Nightfire has a Widescreen setting in the options. You also have to set your TV settings and/or video capture software to “Stretch” or “Widescreen” so that it stretches the screen horizontally. Looking forward to watching this when I get off from work. Been playing it myself on Steam Deck. Edit: if you’re playing through Dolphin, you can enable 16:9 in the Dolphin menu and forego adjusting anything on your tv or capture card.

I've played Nightfire in 16:9, there's so many animation bugs. Most of them are prevalent in The Exchange. I know it's because they made the game intended to be viewed in 4:3, but it's still entertaining to watch.

@@HatsMcGee I’ll have to look out for that next time I play it. I know that using the Dolphin’s ‘Force 16:9’ option usually causes bugs, but I’ve never had any issues with games that support Widescreen natively.

I suspect General Chang is underdeveloped because he's a self-referential gag from Nick Meyer's brief time on the script. Another awesome play through! Nightfire was and still is my number one favorite Bond video game. Most fans prefer GoldenEye but to me NF is the superior game. I know that Nightfire was made in 2002, five years after GoldenEye so it's unfair to judge two since NF's graphics are better but for me I still think it's a much more fleshed out and more fun game. Plus Nightfire had an original plot which I still think is better than Die Another Day which debuted the same month haha. Great video!

It may be blasphemous to say this, but Nightfire is my favorite James Bond game. Was only 10 when Die Another Day came out so the cheesy CGI and dialogue didn’t bother me at the time. I literally say the exact same thing about Star Wars Ep 2: Attack of the Clones. Both are just guilty pleasures of mine, and any subsequent content, like Nightfire or the Bounty Hunter game were huge parts of my childhood to adolescent years. Played on GameCube. Still have my GameCiube with both of these games. I still even have my N64 with Goldeneye too lol

EDIT: a handgun with 100-ish rounds of 9mm, a suppressor, heavy slide and laser module, an smg with a suppressor, a crossbow with a handful of bolts, a bigass grenade launcher with an AR attached to it, like 12 20mm grenades, 100-ish 5.56 rounds, several trip mines, several remote mines, several hand grenades, two phones, a watch, a lighter, body armor, and a whole ass laser canon. chat, i don't think bond is human.
