I wear robes, I have a furry cold weather one and a thinner warm weather one. I like having them because they are classy, and make your frumpy pajamas or leisure wear more presentable if someone stops by unexpectedly.

I think your comments about the importance of a good wristwatch are spot on. You can appreciate the design, mechanical engineering and craftsmanship that goes into a premium watch which you will never have in a phone or an Apple watch. Take your time to seek out a vintage specimen and you can own something even people with more wealth than you may not be able to easily own. You can't beat the style of 60s suits, single breasted in a quality material with narrow collars matched with a well fitted shirt and narrow tie and not forgetting a good pair of shoes to match.

Awesome job! I actually did a college report on James Bond and Sean Connery's contribution to the role. His life was not all sunshine and rainbows. He was an immigrant from Scotland. He was not given anything. He was self made. A Legend.

From a fan of James Bond and a fan to your channel, I think that you made a great video about one of the most famous heroes of the movies. I praise your recognition about Bond Style secrets. I’m sure that Connery’s depiction of Bond is like diamonds 💎, and diamonds are forever...

Antonio, I always appreciate your content. The effort you put into this intro is an especially nice touch! Excellent video. Great points. I love to wear a suit. I wear one to church on Sundays, and I wear blazers on a regular basis. I feel most confident with a jacket on. I have loved vests since I was a kid. I have been leveraging this item for the last 5 years. The odd vest is a great accent for your outfit. I love to use pocket squares. Also a great accent piece. It is a stylish way to show your personality. What you said about watches was so on point. I would add, when you go on vacation, if you are going to purchase something, purchase something that you can use for years. Years ago, I bought cufflinks when I was on vacation with my girlfriend. I wore those cufflinks at our wedding. They now have even more sentimental value, than when I first purchased them!

I own 2 bath robes and I love them so much. I'm a dancer, I practise a couple of times a week because this is the thing that makes me happy, brings me progress and lets me feel like I am doing life progress (besides school unversity and the other things) Everyday when I get home from practise I need to stretch to make sure my body ist fitt and lasts long, and always after the tuff practise and stretching I take a shower and throw on my bath robe and this gives me a feeling like nothing else. I am someone who currently does not pay too much attention what i wear when I go out of my house because my self confidence is high enough but this bathrobe thing is next level believe me You feel fresh, you look fresh and it is just a fine self esteem boost it gives you Antonio if you don't have one go get one and use it especially on really bad and really days and you'll see the wonder it does. It lifts you up on bad days and it lifts you even higher on good ones Nice video btw :)

Great video! I was named after Sean so I've always been a big fan. Had to watch the intro several times. Also Antonio, I just realized that you have 2.6M subscribers, I still remember when your videos didn't have intros, congratulations on how far you've come
@andrewwebster43483 жыл бұрын
So honestly, I think the secret to Connery's Bond is that his outfits classily match the situation at hand. Unlike Daniel Craig in Skywalk who shows up in tailored suits no matter the situation, whether being an undercover operative in a foreign or whatnot, he just doesn't fit in. But check out Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, or Connery in Goldfinger or Thunderball, and their clothes run the gamut from casual to fancy depending on the situation. If your clothes are right for the situation, you will feel comfortable in them. Wearing a three piece suit to the beach might make a nerd feel cool, but he'll just be a dork. Bond at his best is a spy, but with sophistication. He dresses for the occasion, but with class. And he doesn't feel uncomfortable with an outfit that doesn't fit his surroundings.

I started wearing a robe in college when I had to walk down the hall to the showers. I have 2 robes. One is a thick terrycloth robe that absorbs excess water after a shower and is very warm. The other is a lightweight cotton linen robe that I wear in the warmer months. It is soft and cooling to the skin. Both are very comfortable to lounge in after a nice shower, usually before getting dressed for a night out or relaxing before bed.

The best part about those retro suits is that they drape and hang very nicely. Nowadays, suits hug the body too much in my opinion. May Mr. Connery rest in peace.

I do own a robe and I used to wear it more frequently than I do now. Usually, I'm either dressed or in bed. There hasn't been an in between stage warranting a robe. However, after being married, I have had various points of wearing pj's around my home and, with colder weather coming upon us, I might start adding that as a layer

Love your videos. As for the watch, when I’m in formal wear- mess dress or civvy tux-I always wear my late grandfather’s antique Gruen tank watch because of its sentimental value. When I was an active duty naval officer, I never wore my Rolex Oyster Perpetual, it was seen as too ostentatious and pretentious.

Rolex Explorer is my dream watch, Ian Fleming and Sir Edmund Hillary can't be wrong.. Ancestry: I'm English, with a bit of Scottish on my Mums side and Cornish on my Dads) Fav Bond Film: Skyfall, fav Bond Actor - Started off with Roger Moore (The Bond I grew up with), then Daniel Craig mainly for Casino Royale and Skyfall, they are just awesome films in general... But as I get older, i'm leaning more towards Sean Connery as the best, especially in the wardrobe & swagger department. RIP Sir Connery.

Great video but one slight correction: in the novels, Ian Fleming doesn’t give Bond a Rolex Explorer. Fleming did own one but the model he had wasn’t made until 1959, 5 years after the first mention of 007 wearing a Rolex. Fleming directly stated which watch he had in mind for Bonds use when talking to an artist: the Rolex oyster

I'm a big fan of odd vests, with or without a suit jacket. If you choose to wear a dark suit with an odd vest, I recommend that the vest be lighter than the suit and the shirt be lighter than the vest. The tie should at least be darker than the shirt.

RIP Sean Connery. Brilliant intro Antonio. Please do a video on robes. I have one I bought maybe in the 1970s which is finally wearing out, a thick gray, and one more like a smoking jacket, gray[?] paisley on black with black collar and cuffs. I like analog wrist watches because I can see the time with a flick of my wrist without glasses, and also an indication of the passage of time. I don't care for smart watches because they are just one more thing to keep charged and the smartphone can handle notices and alarms for travel, parking meter, appointments, and so on. But checking time on a smartphone is as much time and distraction, in my opinion, as pulling out a pocket watch.
