Dude this scene was f’ing terrible- I wouldn’t be inclined to watch the entire film let alone rate it high in a 20 odd series franchise. Dalton looks afraid and uneasy, his hair is cr*p, he clearly cannot fight- relied on a woman’s help- a guy attacked him with a fish for Christ’s sake and he swung on a makeshift chandelier. Naff as owt. Have a word with yourself. James Bond has some campassed and corny corners in its history- but this was after the silly 60’s and disco eyebrow era. He’s supposed to be a dangerous spy. He bled from a bar brawl- that was somehow started and ended by shotgun blasts. What awful nonsense. Craig is the only thing close to portraying a realistic physical threat- this was simply embarrassing. Yeah, only a film. Only books. Arguably *meant* to be camp and ridiculous. Still utter cringe. You’re wrong. You hear me?! Yow rowwwwng!!
@LexingtonDeville9844 жыл бұрын
Dr. 23 Hate to kill your buzz, but Bond isn’t meant to be a short-arse blonde, mate. Don’t get me wrong - Craig is a good Bond, but he’s become played out and looked utterly disinterested in Spectre. He looks far too good and attractive. In the books all villians and henchman are ugly, unattractive and/or disformed. Goldfinger, Jaws, Tee-Hee or Le Chiffre in the movies are typicall Flemming villains. IMO, Dalton was an excellent Bond, but he never really got a good movie to show it with. The Living Daylights was decent but not classic, and LTK's best moments were actually when Q came along to have his biggest and best role of the series. That said, this one had some good moments and characters, and this bar scene, though the fight choreography is badly dated by modern standards, showcased some of them.

When he said- Don't I know you from somewhere? He should thought of for a moment and said-" Now- I remember you were one of the Assistant District Attorneys on Law and Order."

Lmao at 0:51. The way the guy just gives Bond the death stare. He doesn't know who he's dealing with. Bond will snap him like a twig and be back home in time for cornflakes.

I really wish Dalton did more bond films. He's way better than Daniel Craig ever was.

This is true.... James was a brawler, but that was lost a bit during the Moore era.

I liked Craig, but the movies weren't the best. Too convoluted.

Almost thirty years later, Dario ended up in a prison cell on the Planet of Canto Bight...
@benjaminjaskoski13344 жыл бұрын
3:03 Bond shoots at Dario while on a stationary speed boat in calm water at close range, misses him, bullets don't go through the thin wooden wall and hit Dario who is staying still looking through a hole in the wooden wall this whole time. 3:10 Bond shoots at a running guy while driving a speed boat he just started up after Pam gets shot, hits him while the guy is running AND the boat is moving. 1980's Hollywood gunfights were so dumb.

Oh yes. ...and I'm English and I met Timothy Dalton once and he would agree with you..
@revokdaryl13 жыл бұрын
@@Hawthorne-Studios Very true. However, they are accurate for a fun with such a short barrel. I know a guy who owns one in .32acp and he can literally put round in a 2 inch square from 32 feet away. I was very impressed with that. And that is one handed. This guy is also a competition shooter.

Dario is a type of villain henchmen you DO NOT want to meet in a dark alleyway...

He's the sort of guy that couldn't fight for shit without having a weapon, in a one on one fist fight he'd probably get his arse kicked by anyone lol but if he's got you tied up somewhere then he'd definitely have the pleasure to do some sadistic things

She's still my favorite Bond girl. My second favorite is Maryam d'Abo from the other Dalton film The Living Daylights.
@jerseykaari4 жыл бұрын
When she was newly cast on Law & Order, I used to refer to her as "the one from that James Bond movie" Now when we reminisce about various Bond girls, I refer to her as "the one from Law & Order" The circle is now complete.

I like Branscombe Richmond too much to accept him as a bad guy. This Bond had arguably two of the the prettiest Bond women. Carey Lowell and Talisa Soto.

He played a sadistic villain in Steven Seagal’s Hard To Kill in 1990 as a corrupt detective and hit man
@jerseykaari4 жыл бұрын
But unfortunately for Talisa Soto, she couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. Carey Lowell (who can act) was actually pretty terrible in this too, aside from a few good scenes. But watching this movie from a male perspective, do I actually care about that?? No. No I do not.
