This is awesome... New 'designer' user here, just bought the software from Steam together with 'Painter' and the moment I saw it I knew it had to be good. Well... 1:05 makes this experience iconic for me because this is exactly the setup I intend to use: Designer in support of Painter & ZBrush to help support my Daz Studio endeavors. Seeing my favorite editor being mentioned in a tutorial about my favorite designer? Nice!

I purchased Substance Designer, Painter, and B2M in November 2017. I haven't been able to get started learning the programs until recently and my maintenance expired on November 24, 2018, so it seems as if I missed the released date of 2018.3.0 by about two weeks. I have the October 2018 Release of Substance Designer (2018.2.2), but this project file isn't compatible with it. I understand that programs update so there are some newer features missing from my version, but it would be nice if you could provide a project file compatible with the version from just a few months ago. I think I should still be able to follow along.

Ah, I see. That is a good point. Yeah, this series uses the latest features of Designer which indeed is not compatible with 2018.2. I'm sorry for this issue. The node that is not compatible is the Shape Spatter. Instead, you can use the tile generator to do something similar. It will also allow you to add multiple inputs for the shapes we show in the course.

@@Substance3D Thank you for the response and the workaround, it's much appreciated. And I just read the release about Substance becoming part of Creative Cloud, so I guess soon I will have access to the newest version.

@@Substance3D I worried needlessly. The Shape Splatter node is available in 2018.2.2, so I was able to fully complete the series. It was a fantastic start in this powerful program. Thank you so much for providing such comprehensive training courses for free!

its 150 dollar in steam. you can buy it once and keep it forever. i know lots of artists that have the 2018-19 version and dont feel the need to upgrade to the 2023 version as they can easily create those stuff in the 2018-19 version.
