What trips me out is the homes that are still up in neighborhoods where all other homes are gone. Imagine your home is the only one left where 100's around you are gone. All those people that lived around you for many many years....no more. Nightmarish.

How does the plants and trees survive the fire? I guess they have water in them and it helps protect them from fire. We should build houses with fireproof materials and proactive fire prevention methods. We need to keep water pressure in all the fire hydrants at full power. An automatic water spray over the house might work. Maybe a neighborhood water spray system that can be turned on in emergency that will be like a heavy rain over everything. Some kind of system needs to be installed. A large 5000 gallon water tank should be built at the highest point, ready for emergencies. Class action against insurance companies is next.

There was once a forest there. The fire pest burned it down, converted it to livestock grazing. When the population of fire pests increased, they converted it into a suburb and deforested another area. Nature is now doing the same back to us.

I cut a lot of firewood with my father and it would have to cure( dry for at least a year) and protected from the elements to effectively burn.
