Just like any police officer would do, when the four-wheeler came driving by, in order for her to see if it is legal and registered, she would have to investigate by interviewing the ATV, so she put on her lights and siren to pull the ATV over. . It became a chase when he disobeyed her and ran. That's when it became a chase. Btw, I am sure the ATV ran at that point because he was totally legal and would have no problems if he stopped to show her he had ATV regiatered with insurance. I don't live in that area so I don't know if what you say is correct about a no Chase Law

I grew up riding 4 wheelers. I had a Honda 400 EX and I've ran from police a few times on it.. Never came close to getting caught. I've driven a few Banshees and they are crazy fast in acceleration. I watched one smoke a SS Camaro over and over and over on a dead end road near where I lived.. I grew up in the back woods of NC and everyone had a 4 wheeler or dirt bike.. Wasting taxpayer dollars chasing a kid on a quad. Me and my buddy used to ride our dirtbikes on backroads close to a large national park. One time we passed a sheriff clocking people and he whipped out and chased us for about 10miles. I was on a 1990s suzuki RM250 that was hopped up and my buddy was on ATC250 2 stroke 3 wheeler, we toyed with the cop for the first 5 miles then blew him away and hid in horse trails. So much fun!
