1979 chev chevair powerd by small block chevy, normally aspirated plus 200hp nitrous shot, won the day, 6 runs, some were back to back, i never opened the bonnet once the whole day, no team of technicians present, I DROVE the car to the track, on the same tyres i raced with. Concistency won the day with the LONE RANGER V8 chev. Was a really good " au rev ouir" sendoff for me. Best high pressure event ever ., with the best drivers and tuners in south africa competing for the 10k cash prize , sponsored by SNS. ON THAT DAY, the chev chomped everyone, wether they ran faster times or not, none BEAT THE CHEV in a DRAG RACE....After the photos and prizegiving, i drove back home. Chevy power😎💪
