This package contains clips from multiple locations in order beginning with night shots in Newburgh, New York, afternoon and evening shots in Riverdale, Pompton Lakes, and Oakland New Jersey, then finally early afternoon shots from the I-80/I-280 corridor in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey.
In Newburgh, New York most cars were buried in deep snow along with other vehicles stuck in the deep snow. In addition to this, the snow was deep enough that police officers were having difficulty patrolling and we encountered one officer who needed some help with their vehicle getting stuck in the snow. The fire department responded to a vehicle fire near the 100 block of Gidney Avenue and arrived to find an engine compartment on fire which was quickly extinguished.
Further south down I-87 in northern New Jersey we documented extremely heavy snowfall with snowfall rates somewhere near 3” per hour at times which left residents no choice but to venture out in the worst of the storm and clear the deep snow from their driveways and sidewalks or risk not being able to get out of their homes.
Finally, in the Parsippany-Troy Hills area of New Jersey, travel along Interstate 80 was treacherous with numerous traffic collisions & vehicles stuck in the snow or abandoned altogether.

I live in Florida,(born&raised),& this looks like a freezin' ass nightmare to me!! And cars are driving on snowy roads with traffic lights out& it's still snowing, adding more danger to the roads. In my opinion, it seems like visibility isn't safe enough to attempt being on the roads!😲 No thanks!! I'll take the hurricanes here,& the wandering alligators,,& random sinkholes,& brutal summer humidity any day over the freezing, frightening weather&gray days in the snowy states! Snow is "pretty", but that's it! I enjoy the sunshine& green on trees year around,& not having many cold days during the year! I love viewing the beauty of the heavy snow from the videos posted, but tgat's enough for me!😏 Everyone in snowy states, be careful driving in those conditions,& enjoy the weather if you like winter weather.😉👍

I hear ya. But kind of amazing how fast people adapt to snow storms. I've lived in Minnesota for 67 years. I've seen many of snow storms just like this one. We just make sure we have warm clothes, a shovel and plenty of provisions then stay home.

Sitting here in northern California looking at this reminds me how beautiful it is and was when I was a child so to any of you elders out there from the New Jersey area remember the snow storm blizzard we had on a Sunday back in the mid to late seventies I remember it was a Sunday because my family was the only one that made it to church or in the mid to later 70s when we had the ice storm we had a little bit of snow and then a full ice storm I remember ice skating on the streets of Plainfield New Jersey or that killer blizzard we had in the 80s kind of makes what you have now look kind of small. 🤯

I think we will get the massive snowfall 10-14 days later here in Europe. The West-East drift goes slowly around the northern area. - I saw in the video, that in many streets a lot of cables are hanging in the air. In the city area it would be better to transport electricity by earth-cable, it was an enourmous invest to secure energy delivering in future.
