Her mom being Snow is wholesome AF. It reminds me of that Reddit post about the GF commenting on her BF's streams. I really love Mana's multicolored hair when she performs. The beginning made me think whoever is shopping Mercari must be lucky. I wasn't expecting the ending with Akira. He looks like he's taking his lesson to heart.

Seems mana stopped being a dress up doll and started to put her heart on her sleeve. And yeah, it can be kind of scary thinking about how other people view you for standing out. It really takes courage to show people who you are vs. Making people see you fit in. Also, i think its cute that her mom got her into the rocker style and she's also the reason why she didnt give up. I dont get why she's mad her mom was on her insta. A lot of parents follow their kids. Lol

Well, I can speak from experience : I always tell people how proud I am of my mother, who is a good tattoo artist... However, little do they know she has been a great bassist and a good singer in her youth as well. I knew it at a young age as I remember her singing some ballads from rock and metal bands to me when I was a kid, as well as her insane technique at the bass. Knowing all of this and being extremely insecure about my own skills, I have decided to hide all the artistic stuff I do to her, which means she doesn't know a thing about the covers I do on this platform... I even wait until I am truly alone at home to finally record myself (even if it's an hour, a week or 30 minutes) It is way more difficult to share such things to our family and friends than to publish a story of you singing on Instagram because those people who hear you sing on social medias doesn't know you... A mother will give you advice and criticism, but receiving them from a stranger seems different. A same advice from a stranger will feel nice, however when it comes from a relative it will make me feel nauseous, stressed or anxious. Because of this fear of disappointment.

Yep its hard. My mother died when I was young so all the critisisms I get to improve myself is from strangers. Its hard to trust what strangers hear than what your mom tells you... I'm an artist and I am self taught.. My father hated the idea of me being an artist so I never asked him for opinions. I got a step mom but she cares about the context of my artworks not being godly than trying to judge the quality of my lining and designing itself. (I am a dark artist, so I draw dark crap and not godly things) Up till now I got into a break of so many artstyles since I only judge what the art looks by my own eyes... My bestfriend would point out some stuff and help me out sometime though

This episode just like all the others is a masterpiece. It’s a really nice view into Mana and her life that gives us subtle context about the people in her life and let’s us guess/infer about those people too I loved this episode and I can’t wait for the next ones! Especially Lulu’s episode!

OMG just seeing that Akihiro actually likes her work is kinda wholesome ♥ Mana's mom giving her advice in secret is also really sweet. Something happened in her life that clearly made her quit her dream, but she can now at least put her knowledge to use helping her own daughter try to reach that dream too. I'm also happy that her old friends are actually trying to understand her better now.

Really wish this series got more attention, all of the stories are so touching! For some reason mana’s epilogue and story always brings me on the verge of tears (specifically happy ones lol!). i really relate to this since even though I always end up being a game programmer, I recently pursued studying art on my own. it is kind of lonely when they can no longer understand you but i understand since that's how circle is. I actually enjoyed this series and their color theory application for focal point. ~~~~~~~ there's actually a subtle reality on these lines "you feel a lot better if you stop letting yourself be controlled." this only happens when you switched to what you want. but after that, you will realize the "winning or lose" and you need to have that "I want to win" or the ambition for it. this picture drama only showed the world change when you shift to something. but it didn't show you how being yourself would require 10x or more , struggle, effort and steelmind to keep on climbing. If you know handa-kun or other sports anime. the part where they practice morning to night would be your everyday life FOR YEARS. also as a creative, you need connections and marketing. Just like how this channel doesn't have enough reach while someone who talks nonsense can get bazillion views and subs because of algorithm, thumbnail and communication to fanbase. I can't give advice tho since i only have 12 followers on twitter rn😆 anyways. if you are one of the people who's motivated to go for a career change or be yourself. double check these things -ambition: where do you want to go -starting point: do you have a privilege, do you already have an intermmediate skill on where you want to go -mental health: are you prepared to possibly get depression that can cripple you. -who to blame: when you go along with the trend you can blame anyone. if you go on your own. you will always have self doubt if you're not talented like me. -milestones and time: checkout jobs or works and estimate how much time is needed to get there, these will serve as checkpoints in case you want to stop climbing or you need funds so you can continue(just for reference, mine is 2 yrs for a job i can barely live, +3 yrs I can work on decent or indie studios, +5yrs, be able to publish artbooks and teach people) and always never forget to look back!!! even if you stopped moving on the path, if you look back you will see that you've moved away from the starting point. goodluck to us!!

my take on this is dying and cutting my own hair the way i want it to be, bcs ppl had loved my long straight hair and i had kept it until the pandemic. Fortunately my mom let's me do whatever I want even with the alt aesthetic that isn't widely accepted, she doesn't really care but tells everyone more in a proud way that i like to fix myself a lot at home even when i have nowhere to be. It's just a one person support that pushes you too be happy the way you want to be
