I've been watching so many videos lately trying to learn as much as I can for the GED test (and other reasons) and I'm horrible at studying/listening but these videos are really great because I can spend hours being distracted but also learning. I watch the videos and listen (as best I can) then watch the video again (and catch some things I missed the first time and go over what I did hear the first time) then I watch it again and take notes, then just keep watching till I fell like I've remembered a good amount and finally test myself by pausing the video and seeing if I can get ~insert subject - in this case prefixes etc.~ (posted the process for anyone else who might be having trouble and not thought of this)

This is the best video I have come across by far and it is so helpful for everyone. Thank you! Something that I do when it comes to scientific notation is i quickly calculate how many digits there should be instead of putting my finger and counting the spaces to figure out where to put the decimal. it just saves me time and effort. it is the exponent -1 = the amount of digits after the decimal. so 3.12x10 with an exponent of -5 should have 4 digits (because 5-1=4) after the decimal. Just write 0. then write down 4 zeros, then the number (312) = 0.0000312. It also works when converting it back to a normal number. like the example he used was 5.4 x 10 to the power of 6 (6-1=5). so just write 54 and then add 5 zeros at the end. 5400000. I'm not sure if there are exceptions but that always seems to work for me.
