In this episode we discuss who is the God we serve? Is He a God of love, or is His love conditional? Since sin entered our world, satan has made it his life's mission to distort the character of God as vengeful and unforgiving, taking joy in punishing those who disobey him. This can't be further from the truth. Come and join us in our discussion and find out how God ultimately deals with sin.

Great presentation. I would sum up with this, that God is life. That he actually kills no one. The first death He puts his children to sleep. The second death they are destroyed by the brightness of His coming. It is their refusal to repent that is the cause, but God has to come eventually because He loves us.

(Isaiah 26:9b-11) : for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. 10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD.11 LORD, when thy hand is lifted up, they will not see: but they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people; yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them. loved the insights gents. The thought of the angels understanding the cost of sin and also the extent to which God would go for his creations at the time of the cross, never crossed my mind. It must have been such an AHA! moment for them. I can only imagine how they must have felt and truly understood the extent that our Lord would go to because of his love for us. Wow! Does God kill? In the Bible God always gives a choice. Those who died did not have to. The result of their disobedience or their choice was death, but however they could have saved their own lives by making a choice to live.

I always find this question as an important one and I’m amazed by the comments of those who don’t agree with the presenters , I’m with them in disagreeing with the presenters no offense to them at all nevertheless “the path of the just is as a shining light 💡, I once believed that God Kill how I’ve learned otherwise and it shows how beautiful Gods Character is. This is the true character of God- We cannot know how much we owe to Christ for the peace and protection which we enjoy. It is the restraining power of God that prevents mankind from passing fully under the control of Satan. The disobedient and unthankful have great reason for gratitude for God’s mercy and long-suffering in holding in check the cruel, malignant power of the evil one. But when men pass the limits of divine forbearance, that restraint is removed. God does not stand toward the sinner as an executioner of the sentence against transgression; but He leaves the rejectors of His mercy to themselves, to reap that which they have sown. Every ray of light rejected, every warning despised or unheeded, every passion indulged, every transgression of the law of God, is a seed sown which yields its unfailing harvest. The Spirit of God, persistently resisted, is at last withdrawn from the sinner, and then there is left no power to control the evil passions of the soul, and no protection from the malice and enmity of Satan. The destruction of Jerusalem is a fearful and solemn warning to all who are trifling with the offers of divine grace and resisting the pleadings of divine mercy. Never was there given a more decisive testimony to God’s hatred of sin and to the certain punishment that will fall upon the guilty. - {GC 36.1}

Hi Robert and Marlou. This has to do with the question does God kill. My name is Gisela. Was born in Namibia, Südwest Afrika, an lived in South Africa a long time, now living in Australia. In Australia I become a Seventh Day Adventist. It was when I prepared for women's ministry a talk about Sapphira. Naturally, Ananias was implicated also as he was Sapphira's husband. (Acts 5:1 - 10) were they killed because of the unpardonable sin? - I'll ask that question in a video if I knew how to. I'll find out how to.

I’m SDA I think we are mistaken here Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is like a man who hired some early for a penny Some mid day for a penny And some at the last hour for a penny Many who are first will be last and many who are last will be first We cannot discount the power of the Holy Spirit or of Jesus or of the Father to save a person just before the door of probation closes. Just before death even. And the thief on the cross is the example of that. Bless you and your ministry

I was reading vol.1 of the testimonies yesterday, and saw this: I was forcibly reminded of deathbed repentance. Some serve themselves and Satan all their lives, and then as sickness subdues them, and a fearful uncertainty is before them, they manifest some sorrow for sin, and perhaps say they are willing to die, and their friends make themselves believe that they have been truly converted and fitted for heaven. But if these should recover, they would be as rebellious as ever. I am reminded of Proverbs 1:27, 28: “When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon Me, but I will not answer; they shall seek Me early, but they shall not find Me.” - {1T 81.3}

If God kills he breaks his own commandment. Do not kill. God asks us to love our enemies. I don’t believe that God is a hypocrite. He simply withdraws his spirit and protection as people choose to abandon his commands and instruction.

Ex 20:13 “You shall not MURDER”. It does not says: You shall not KILL. There is a big difference between “kill” and “murder”. Jesus say of Satan (John 8:44) “...He (Satan) was a murder from the beginning...”. Regarding the withdraw of the Holy Spirit and the protection of God: Those two do not explain why evil people live long lives doing evil deeds -even including Satan’s angels and Satan himself- who are not killed yet. There is not doubt that the Holy Spirit and God’s protection is NOT with them, therefore, the argument of being killed due to the withdraw of the HS and God’s protection, does not stand to answer the original question.

A single unrighteous act of will or bitterness, envy, jealousy or evil surmising will quench the Spirit of God and banish from your heart true happiness. One emotion of hatred or ill will or of revenge, or an evil act or word towards one of whom Christ calls “the least of these my brethren” [Matthew 25:40], gives Satan the advantage over you, makes you a transgressor of God’s law, and will surely destroy the peace of the soul and will stand as an act done to Jesus Christ in the person of His saints. Even hatred to an evil worker will place you in a position where your judgment will be warped and you will not be a doer of the work of Christ to render good for evil. While you despise the sin, you should love the souls of those for whom Christ has paid the price of His own blood. The desire for revenge or any emotion but that of tender, pitying love as Jesus exercises toward us, fallen sinful humanity, injuries the soul and is registered against us in heaven. Nothing short of perfection of character will meet the standard of God’s law. The great power of God will surely come to His people if they are obedient children and are living in accordance with the character of Christ.

I look at, the Great tribulation as a spanking a child would receive. After all, everyone owes their existence to heaven. And who has a child you don't correct when they have done wrong? When you correct a child, it is because you love them. Right? So, I genuinely hope you hear. When Noah entered the Ark and the rains began to fall, I’m sure people were at the door of the Ark wanting in. And the only difference between then and now is Jesus. For you see Christ prayed for those who refused his doctrine saying: “forgive them for they know not what they do” Luke 23:34 as He realized they couldn’t see themselves for the creature (soul) was made subject to vanity Romans 8:20. Consequently, what I know is we are in the last days, and the world we inhabit will pass away in a ball of flames never to rise again. The earth’s poles are shifting, entire towns destroyed by fire and floods. Not to mention there is distress of nations with perplexity Luke 21:25. Yet it is promised there shall be, a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea, Revelation 21:1. Sure, the gate into God's Kingdom was narrow, and our Lord wished all would have sought to enter therein but for reasons revealed (in the little book I have written) were unable to. Yet and still, because God is love and forgiving. Hence, we know the reason John saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God Revelation 15:2. So many religions and so much confusion (Babylon) God at this time will prove to the world who is telling the truth. Thereby there will be many who come through this great tribulation and be saved. The people saved would consist of a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands Revelation 7:9. At which point those who see will be, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb, Revelation 7:10. And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God Revelation 7:11,

Does God kill? ‭ "And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;"(rev.5.9.kjv). In our (Serbian) translation it says "you slain yourself". So... did God kill himself? As you said in the video: yes and no. He didn't directly kill himself, and He had all the power to prevent it at any given moment. But He let himself be killed and thus He laid down His own life (to take it back, all for us), thus He killed himself, although it was done by us, people, inspired by the foe. God killed Himself!!! He alone by His own choice and power gave His life away. For us. God created all for life. It was not His original plan to have death in His creation... because... what's the point? He says so himself that He doesn't want anyone to perish. We chose to know death, it was not God's choice. But, ultimately, who is the only master of life and death? Only God. So, yes, God is the one ultimately responsible for all that die by their own choice, because they don't want the life as given by their Creator.

Before anyone killed anyone God’s law existed. The penalty for breaking that law was death. It is the law that condemns God merely enforces the law. Just like we do in earth. If you break the law you are subject to punishment. The judge and jury rarely have an emotional attachment it is merely an enforcement of the law.

This is in no way against brothers Robert and Marlou... Remember that in Jesus' Matthew 25:1-13 parable all "ten virgins," wise as well as unwise, "trimmed their lamps.". Likewise, even all of God's people need the "eye-salve," to "anoint" our "eyes, that" we may "see" (Revelation 3:18). So, even Jesus' earliest disciples when trying to make a practical application of their own interpretation of 2nd Kings 1:9-14, 10, 12, "He turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them. And they went to another village" (Luke 9:51-56). So, we need to stop trying to view 'Does God destroy?' by looking at such instances through the wrong end of a pair of binoculars, or, through the wrong end of a microscope. Each one of the "ten virgins" actually needed to trim away the soot off the wick of their lamp. Out of very necessity. (See the final chapter of COL.) God would have us to with spiritual discernment see the end from the beginning, in a manner of speaking. If there is not a flawless consistency with how things will ultimately come to their end, biblically, then our own interpretation of those "ends" leading up to the final "end" is fundamentally flawed. The conclusive end of Satan, his angels, and all the wicked lost, after the millennium--how is THE CONTROVERSY ENDED then? "...Thou [Satan] shalt die the deaths of them that are slain in the midst of the seas. Wilt Thou yet say before him THAT SLAYETH THEE, I am God? but thou shalt be a man [Isaiah 14:10], and no God, in the hand of him THAT SLAYETH THEE. THOU SHALT DIE...BY THE HAND OF STRANGERS: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God....Therefore will I [the Lord God] BRING FORTH A FIRE FROM THE MIDST OF THEE [Satan], IT SHALL DEVOUR THEE, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished AT THEE: THOU SHALT BE A TERROR, and never shalt thou be any more" (Ezekiel 28:9-10, 18-19, emphasis added). "Every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with BURNING and FUEL OF FIRE....For WICKEDNESS BURNETH as a fire: IT SHALL DEVOUR..., AND SHALL KINDLE....AND THE PEOPLE SHALL BE AS THE FUEL OF THE FIRE: NO MAN SHALL SPARE HIS BROTHER...." (Isaiah 9:5, 18-20, emphasis added). This regards "Gog and Magog, ...the number of whom is as the sand of the sea" (Revelation 20:8); indeed, the Lord says of this same "Gog, ...Magog:" "....That the heathen may know Me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes....I will CALL FOR A SWORD AGAINST HIM throughout all My mountains, saith the Lord God: EVERY MAN'S SWORD SHALL BE AGAINST HIS BROTHER....Thus will I magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord" (Ezekiel 38:2, 16, 21-23, emphasis added). And in Job 41, God presents, as a symbol, a creature "the sea" named "leviathan:" "He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride" (Job 41:1, 31-32, 34); and in the course of His presentation, He asks, "Shall the companions make a banquet of him? shall they part him among the merchants?" (Job 41:6). The answer, as we have seen already, is directly given elsewhere. "Thou [God] didst divide the sea by Thy strength: Thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters. Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him [SINGULAR] to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness" (Psalm 74:13-14). For study will show that "the people inhabiting the wilderness," ultimately, are these: "the wicked, which is Thy sword: ...men which are Thy hand, O Lord, ...men of the world" (Psalm 17:13-14); and "leviathan," to be the "dragon" of Revelation 12:9. "In that day the Lord with His sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea" (Isaiah 27:1). This is perfectly consistent with what we saw in Ezekiel 28--harmoniously. "....But of all the countless millions whom he has allured into rebellion, there are none now to acknowledge his supremacy. His power is at an end. The wicked are filled with the same hatred of God that inspired Satan; but they see that their case is hopeless, that they cannot prevail against Jehovah. Their rage is kindled against Satan and those who have been his agents in deception, and with the fury of demons they turn upon them" (The Great Controversy, Chapter 42, "The Controversy Ended"). Now, therefore, how are we to see THE end FROM the beginning (the flood, etc., etc.)?
@loriedwards2120
@loriedwards2120 3 ай бұрын
We saw that after the 1,000 years all the wicked lost will utterly perish as the Bible has often expounded, "Every man's sword shall be against his brother" (Ezekiel 38:21)... which agrees wondrously with how the enemies of God's people were destroyed when king Jehoshaphat marched into the battle with his singing choir marching ahead of his soldiers (see 2nd Chronicles 20:22-24)! Too, David's psalm foretelling of the time when the lost, as the Revelator put it, "went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city" (Revelation 20:9), prophesied in agreement with what we have been considering. "They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city... Swords are in their lips....Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by Thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield....And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city...." (Psalm 59:6-7, 11, 14-15). Furthermore, there is also a perfectly biblical affirmation of those things in how the wicked living come to their demise at the time of Christ's second coming. So, how is that DESOLATION OF THE EARTH brought about? Judgment begins with those who have unfaithfully been spiritual leaders to the people. "Woe be unto the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture! saith the Lord. Therefore this saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed My people; ...Behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the Lord" (Jeremiah 23:1-2). "Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves in the ashes, ye principal of the flock....And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape:" "a noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the Lord hath a controversy WITH the nations...; He will GIVE THEM THAT ARE WICKED TO THE SWORD" (Jeremiah 25:34-35, 31, emphasis added). "....And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult FROM the Lord SHALL BE AMONG THEM; AND THEY SHALL LAY HOLD EVERY ONE ON THE HAND OF HIS NEIGHBOUR, AND HIS HAND SHALL RISE UP AGAINST THE HAND OF HIS NEIGHBOUR" (Zechariah 14:12-13, emphasis added); "for I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the Lord: but, lo, I will deliver the men EVERY ONE INTO HIS NEIGHBOUR'S HAND, ...and out of THEIR HAND will I NOT deliver them" (Zechariah 11:6, emphasis added). "WHEN the Son of man SHALL come in His glory, AND ALL THE HOLY ANGELS WITH HIM, THEN shall He sit UPON THE THRONE of His glory: and before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another," "and He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left;" "THEN shall He say also unto them on the left hand, DEPART FROM ME, ye cursed, INTO EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels," "and these SHALL GO AWAY INTO EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT" (Matthew 25:31-33, 41, 46, emphasis added). This is speaking of the Second Coming, verily when He "....sitteth on the throne...." (Revelation 6:14-17), even precisely when the lost who are alive to see His face at His second advent "shall be tormented with fire and brimstone IN THE PRESENCE OF THE HOLY ANGELS, AND in the presence of the Lamb" (Revelation 14:10, emphasis added). And at this same exact time "the beast" shall be "taken, and with him the false prophet;" and, John was prophetically speaking of none other but the time of the second coming when he wrote, "These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone" (Revelation 19:20). {We, as Laodiceans, sure do have much more to understand of these things!} In unlimited consistency, here is what brings about the DESOLATION OF THE EARTH during the Second Advent of the Faithful Witness-- "The [wicked] people see that they have been deluded. They accuse one another of having led them to destruction; but all unite in heaping their bitterest condemnation upon the ministers. Unfaithful pastors have prophesied smooth things; they have led their hearers to make void the law of God and to persecute those who would keep it holy. Now, in their despair, these teachers confess before the world their work of deception. The multitudes are filled with fury. 'We are lost!' they cry, 'a d you are the cause of our ruin;' and they turn upon the false shepherds. The very ones that once admired them most will pronounce the most dreadful curses upon them. The very hands that once crowned them with laurels will be raised for their destruction. The swords which were to slay God's people are now employed to destroy their enemies. Everywhere there is strife and bloodshed" (The Great Controversy, Chapter 41, "Desolation of the Earth").

God didn’t destroy through the flood. The sinful had 120 years to determine to believe in His Word and BE in the ark. If the flood didn’t happen all humankind would have destroyed one another. Christ would not have been born, would not have become the Perfect Lamb. The flood was 100% salvational. The sinful killed themselves.

Yes, God kills. Yes, He hardened Pharoahs heart as well. Why did God hardened the kings heart to bring upon the plagues?

Good question, The first 5 plagues Pharaoh hardened his own heart, then God knowing all things knew Pharaoh would not change. Until the last plague. I hope this helps. If not, we will get more understanding when Jesus comes again.

God didn't harden the pharaoh's heart, if truth is rejected it becomes to accept it again due to pride

The Bible also states that Pharoah hardened his heart.....a few verses later. God allows us to make choices. Pharoah made his own choice.
