Get an auction report from when it was sold in Japan, only real way to know how many k's it done. Overall condition of the interior is a better indication rather than what the dash says

We still have a few floating around for sale in Australia. They are all looked after heaps better here. I just bought one identical to one that I owned 15 years ago and it is absolutely immaculate. Zero rust, in molested and interior is nearly brand new. Possibly look online for one here in Aus before you try Japan. I can see a lot of Americans getting ripped off bringing them over from Japan. I guess if you are actually going there to find one in person you might be ok. Good luck!

Sad part is as time goes on. More and more will get wrecked and destroyed, the price will become almost unattainable. I would like to get one stock at least but majority is gonna be destroyed from slamming or extreme camber. Gross

Don't worry about a new dash or cluster. The cars are mostly wound back in Japan before they were bought and exported. I bought a 1989 GTST in 1995 and it had 55,000km on it and pretty much every import at the time (In New Zealand) had 55,000ish km on it. We were told the registration gets expensive at 50k so people sold them. Ok, that was fair enough back in 1995 but what about now? There is no way they are still only 55,000km on the clock and you would be lucky if yours only did 95,000km. So don't worry about trying to figure out the real milage an import has done, it could be right or it could be off by as much as 100,000km. Check the seat wear and steering wheel and dash wear, that is usually a big give away. Also if the odometer is off like if the numbers are not in a straight line (Except the low numbers) then they have probably been wound back.

Quick question, do OEM R32 GTR front bumpers and hoods fit perfectly on the GTS-Ts or do you have to cut some stuff to fit it? i'm asking because I'm looking for a 2 door GTS-T and I really don't like the basic look of the OEM bumper and grille-less hood

Yes it should be a direct fit.

The front bumper is slightly wider but does fit. The hood is a different story. You will need to either buy the hood catch for the gtr or modify the existing one. The gtst hood latches further forward and further down. If modifying the gtst latch and using a gtr grille you'll also have to trim the secondary hood release as its too long and contacts the grille.

I would say it would be a terrible first car. Why, because even though they can be reliable. Fixing any skyline isn't cheap. Parts are hard to come by and expensive. If this car is your only mode of transport to and from work/school you will be down till you fix it/find the parts which could be weeks.
