One main fact that existing old system of governance bodies is the reluctance to change. I guess they are afraid of it and they are used to exploiting the old system.

@@Chathuranga_CA highly agree to that point. I too got chance to work on public and mostly private sector in IT. I mean the sheer level of lacking proper leadership is unimaginable. Either they are not at all qualified or they don't have those qualities at all. And they treat others in their role like its another exam for them. Practical side is not even looked at. It's sad most of these leaderships are presented by people who stubbornly think they are born for that and it's entitled to them. They will dress for the occasion but when it's time to handle cutlery and be courteous, total failure.

Thank you for your effort. Government digital transformation is essential. Please look following aspects; 1) Korea is the best example for Sri Lanka , they had president leading commity for egovernance , this commity did huge task 2) Public private partnership (For example korean goverment didnt have requred funds ti develop their networking infrastructure, So they ask KT to develop it using their funds and later they paid). 3) Data centers with backup facilities ( Rather maintaining adhoc small data centers under institutes and LGC2, we need proper government managed data center facility like Korea with DRC. Please check korean gov data center facilty. ) 4) Develop lower level services with high security and reusable components. 5) the Government ICT servece got more than 2000 IT degree or major graduates, trained them and use them maximumly. 6) promote startups with product managers(goverment officers).

Totally agreed , each sector resources are limited so reallocation is required ,some industries non availability of data is the main problem, since there is no such strategies to properly intervene ex. Agriculture sector, then there is a generational gap we cant do it with older generation ,with people who do not heared of such technologies, And we need some negative minded people too, to be evidents of the sucess of the technology , and people as hackers to identify where the shortcomings are to improve the system And to make the sector efficient whole country should be converted to non sleeping country, with working in shifts both in public and pvt sector, with facilitation of other aervices such as baby care, transport etc... Finally better payscales this will reduce the preassure for corruption

If you can implement doctors personal file management, transfers, and all other matters digitally you can get rid of most anomalies in the system. But having such system and keeping at least small loop hole will ruin the system. Because I know doctors are 10000% honest. ..............Any office crowd management must be though such a system and it will be transparent if it happen. So it will be very very difficult to implement.

Mr Chathuranga, you must be clear about what NPP plans to do about digitalisation. I”m sure from what I see most in NPP are also not fully cognisant about digitalisation. So what are NPP’s priorities for digitalisation in SL and some discussion about funding this effort is what voters will want to know prior to the election. You’re talking about the right things and this is really good but people want some firm commitments, as the perception is that all politicians lie.
