Mabel is the shooting star, because the promotional art has her wearing a sweater with the shooting star on it. Plus, in the episode "Dreamscaperers" Bill Cipher says the shooting star, pine tree and question mark were in front of him when Mabel, Dipper and Soos were. So if Mabel was the llama, Bill would have said "llama" instead (which he didn't).

new theory Stanford was the name of grunkle Stan's brother. So we'll call grunkle stan "Greg". so Stan (Greg's brother) was clearly the owner of the mystery shack, before it was the mystery shack. Which shows stan owned the shack before his brother even moved there. so that shows that greg moved there after stan died.
