This video is a guide to replacing your standing rigging leaving the mast in place. I did this by ascending and descending the mast solo 30 times, taking the stays off one by one and using mast guy ropes for stability.
This is also a guide to Sta Lok fittings which I now have on my sailboat standing rigging.

Great refresher for me. I had done this before on my Catalina 30 but, I had the mast pulled with the shrouds attached so, it was very, very easy. I'm not crazy about climbing a mast on a bigger boat but, pulling the mast is a real pain on those. Thanks for the video.

Yeah there was definitely one day with the wind I probably shouldn’t have been up there😂 You’re most welcome 🙏

Thanks for the input, it's been almost impossible finding the fittings I needed to repair my rigging! Your info may help me FINALLY get on the water!

Sounds like you definitely were qualified to do this on your boat and your video was great. Ho2ever, that being said you stated you can't really overtighten shrouds. That is completely incorrect qnd you don'twant to lead an uneducated diy-er to make a potentially costly mistake. Any of your standing rigging can be over-tensioned and cause damage to the boat or cause poor sailing performance.

thanks mate! I believe i stated that slightly under-tightened is worse than slightly over-tightened, but yeah, your're absolutely correct. Too much tension and pull your boat into bits 👍
