Wow. They keep lying about them voting on that Inital Form. They voted on it and then flipped the script making it seem like somehow, it was only May's idea. They later voted for Public Works to handle the forms and she said she needed 300K and then just sat in this meeting and did not vote for it again. The one resident wanted 5 or 6K for a city tree that fell on her house and they questioned whether her photos were doctored, the city attorney went out his way to find the law where the city doesn't have to pay it, and also told them that she had homeowners insurance and come to find out she didn't she had renters because her area couldn’t get homeowners, and lied again saying Mays promised her the city would pay it. Two business men came up to get an adjacent lot for 1K, put up by Councilman Pfeiffer, and they didn't just simply pass it, but continued to question them for several hours and told them how they need to pay the initial 5K prior to Pfeiffer putting the 1K motion, "break bread" with a councilman first, put a plaque up, and put the other 4K into beautification. I ain't even gone get on House of Esther and the school. That was 4 hours for $72K and I shudder to think about what even happened. The one resident keeps coming in who is needing money for a rec center and they voted on it and passed it a while back but somehow it isn't even passed now as far as I know. The RESIDENTS haven't seemed to receive anything but that $300 Water Credit Ms. Preistly wanted to gloat about which is LAUGHABLE considering the residents were poisoned by the water. Everything I mentioned in this post was less than $500K total. This is SAD!🥺 This council has the opportunity to be great. I like the diverse group, and really I like everyone onti. It is crazy that the personality clashes have shrouded their ability to be great.

I've attended Erie City Council meetings here in my hometown and almost fell asleep due to boredom. Whether you like the man or not, having someone like Eric Mays on your city council really seems to make things interesting. Lol.
