Mike the news media is in the media business. The goal of any business is to maximize profit. What drives what we see is money, not morality. I am not in the media business but I would bet a year of my earned income that news media companies have spent a lot of money studying what brings in the highest ratings. They continuously focus on the sensational, horrifying, scandalous, obscene, racially charged, etc because that’s what brings in the highest ratings.. If the masses stopped paying attention to that shit they would stop talking about those things. People won’t stop paying attention though because we are evolved to pay attention to matters that in tribal times likely would have impacted our personal safety/security. No insidious grand conspiracy, just business. Love the podcast. Can’t wait for the next one!

Working in a nursing home and having many vets at the facility, my favorite thing is Veterans Day and putting together a program to honor them and the appreciation in their face and in some cases the tears from being acknowledged especially during this pandemic time when family can not visit. WOW! What a great discussion Mike, was excellent listening Nick. You reached out and touched me bud. Having come from an interracial family (black father, brother, and two sisters) and living in Gary, IN West Side for 8 years I believed there was no way I could be racist (I'm white FYI). Due to recent circumstances with the riots, looting, etc, sadly I had. After listening to you two I am going to work on eliminating those negative opinions and get back to non-generalizing. Thanks again and realize these discussions change lives.

Love your show... You have said many times about how someone on social media can sit behind their computer and say just about anything they want... and I agree with you.. I have been into computer's (owning companies) from the very beginning and I have always believed if you do not have something constructive or positive to say then, don't say anything...... This is something that needs to be "learned' and "trained" this is 'Old School" but we need to point this out when ever we can... Use your platform to bend minds.... Keep doing what you do... Loved the podcast Mike, thanks a lot but just wanted to mention that I’m black and that it’s pretty much black people from low income areas who speak like that (axe/ask, burfday/birthday, amberlamps/ambulance, etc). I guess it’s the same as white people saying warsh instead of wash, wrassle instead or wrestle, etc. Nick grew up in a low income environment but his parents were educated which is why they corrected him. It’s just a lack of education and environmental circumstances which is why some black people speak that way. Keep up the great work brother.

Speaking of breeding... A friend of mine and I got sick of hunting our Upland Game spots because they had already been hunted out by our friends. One night we were talking on how best to use his 10 acres of land and we decided that we were going to breed birds and sell/distribute them. Then we started thing about cross breeding bird; a pheasant and a quail would be a phail, a partridge and a chukar would be a parchar…. and so on. Later we decided to mix a chukar and a pheasant and call it a chuckant. My friend changed his mind and decided that the pheasant and chukar should be called a "PHUKAR" so we want to build a phukar farm where you come around and shoot any phukar you like.
