04-09 Prius Carpet Removal

Did you ever make any videos of you reinstalling the carpet or any pictures after the installation

My son and i are looking for information on how to get the interior trim removed to the point where we can get the carpet up. back seats out. lower trim in back seat out, and hatch - all upper trim still in. we have water under the passenger rear seat and want to dry it out, as well as check in the front kick panel area. If you or someone has a minute to point us in the right direction would be great! Subscribed. 2006 prius 128k miles. needs work. Father and Son project.

Does the second Gen. Prius have a known water leak problem via the back hatch?

Yes it does on the top corner under the hatch there is a seam that lets water in and it puddles under the battery tray or under spare tire. My 07 had it and I sprayed some clear flex seal on it. Under the battery tray there is a rubber drain plug, I removed that too. My 09 now doesn’t have the problem so it’s sporadic.

Can't find the carpet replacement. Mine smells like someone puked in it. Nasty so I want to replace. Any ideas? I've searched everywhere online.

I would try priuschat.org or ebay. I wouldnt run carpet ones. For a few bucks more you can get husky weatherbeaters or used weathertechs.
