A slightly deeper dive into the specifics of the MKVI's alert and warning messages and the conditions triggering them. I reference a hardcopy "EGPWS Pilot's Guide" written for a more modern Honeywell model. While not exactly my version, conceptually lots of the behavior applies. Generally, avionics "Pilot's Guides" are written to be detailed, yet concise. They are not highly technical manuals but rather designed to provide enough information about system visibility without weighing down the pilot with more information than they need to functionally understand and operate it.
