There were clear examples of discrimination - there was time and energy spent pointing it out by numerous council members. I get Eva Worthing has had a litany of adversity, but for six straight years she has constantly said smart Alec stuff and gotten mad when people take the time out to correct her on it. After watching flint city council meetings from 2022, this is the council reaping what they sowed. When Councilman Mays was President, Councilwoman Tanya Burns initiated the process to have him removed as President of the council and that’s when Herkenroder and Lewis took over. He wasn’t the best Council President but what they’re experiencing now is far worse than anything he’s ever said. Go back and look at city council meetings dated Feb 2022, specifically the 10 hr meeting (when they overthrew his Presidency seat) and watch how everything unfolded. Tanya Burns got it started with a Legal Opinion from Attorney Kim to remove Mays and it’s been downhill since that day! Now they’re regretting removing him as President because Lewis is the REAL dictator.

I truly believes Quincy wants to help the residents get their homes back in healthy living conditions. Everything else time will tell. His crew became outnumbered last night so he called himself playing chess by staying and continuing on with the business without being hostile. Because everyone was watching intently Dennis PFeiffer was trying to portray himself as neutral, don’t be fooled. Two are being used as pawns and if they believe they have their seats for any other reason then that’s dangerous and the both of them are lethally unintelligent. Think about contract money that’s been given out and to whom yet the residents are still waiting for relief like they have to beg. I’m still feeling some kind of way about Swartz Creek Golf Course. There was too much breezing over facts along with fast talking. I can bet for sure the majority of people young and old who make up the city are not utilizing that center. Their website and literature speaks loud and clear as far as diversity is concerned. And as for prices, Ms. Burns in order to use that golf cart it’s only included with the Gold Season Pass which is $1,200 . Senior’s 55 and older will be walking and their cost is $600. They get to get their games on and purchase their weed , the same weed that to this day we have family members still incarcerated for. Taxes aren’t cheap either. So first you went through the water crisis, now a sewage crisis among other things. A few businesses have been funded and started please pay attention to which ones and where. Demand action now! Fill those seats and demand removals. There are four who definitely must go pronto! Demand your compensation and make your city reflect what works for you. Don’t let them make it a hazard to the point you’re forced to leave by selling for less, almost giving it away , losing to foreclosure, or being taxed out. Cause trust me they plan on doing just that and taking over. Remember there are strengths in numbers. Support Mr. Eric Mays, Ms. Burns , and Ms Winfrey-Carter they are fighting for all the rights of the residents they just can’t do it alone. Have a Beautiful Day!

I've spent the week watching a year's worth of these meetings. This council is absolutely a circus led by Mays. Several of the council members seem slow. Mays speaks and behaves like someone's senile uncle. And honestly, I have to side-eye the residents because they keep voting these people in. Flint was never on my bucket list but Lord knows it definitely isn't now. Seems like the clerk and Pfeiffer are the only two that are consistently sane and astute.

I skipped the budget hearings but yeah, I started with the first January meeting for 2022 and watched the last May meeting for this year. I even watched them on my daily treadmill walks. Now, I'm going to watch the 2021 meetings that are listed. But, to be honest, it doesn't take much sense or time to catch on pretty quickly. My mom was in Public Administration for 30 years. I went to several of these types of meetings as a kid in Dallas County (Texas). I know the lay of the land and whatever Flint is doing is not IT. There's a saying that you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. I've basically watched Mays and his rude tirades sink a couple of the initiatives he wanted for his ward. People will acquiesce for people they may not like but still respect. But, when people lose respect for you, it is hard to win them over. Anyway, I googled the food market and I see that it's still not open 🤷🏾‍♀️.

It's amazing, they never ask themselves if maybe there are other reasons for the higher insurance costs/premiums there and/or what other reasons may exist for less city projects awarded to black corporations in Flint; could it be that they steal or vandalize more cars there, they rob more businesses there, they have more drive-bys there, their police is practically nonexistent, they burn more houses there, they brake-in to more houses there, therefore forcing insurance companies, who have to respond to investor in ORDER to exist i.e. keep their doors open, are FORCED to charge more for their insurance services in places were losses are greater, or they simply have to stop doing business in those places period, e.g. places like Flint; likewise a city MUST make sure their PUBLIC projects get completed properly and within budgets and if black companies aren't prepare to meet the challenge then they aren't, that's the real world. But NO is always the RACE-CARD is always because we are black never for any of the other reason pre-mentioned here, this is why our black communities are in the state they're in and is a deserved state! On another related note, the biggest gas-lighter in that room is that Mays, he’s been on council for over 10 years and his area is still a dump, getting away with it by blaming blacks and whites sitting next to him all these years, gas-lighting to a T this guy; just be honest and ask yourselves why is it that the few time he’s been removed the city business (simply put) goes smooth as melting butter in comparison to when he’s in chambers, there are people in politics and in life that learn the rules by heart not for the good of others but to exploit them to their narcissistic benefits and this guy is one of those, we all have been taught that a man speaks to a woman with DECORUM, a civic communication policy that we all know works best and most of the time positively in our world, yet this man will scoop to the lowest of lows to seemingly prove a point (so he claims), this guy is one of the worse sells-people I’ve ever seen, he knows his product well yet repels the buyers that have the votes off and repels them in brilliant form, this man is pure-poison to the city as a whole!
