I had help from my parents and a driving instructor, however I truly believe I would not have passed first go if it wasn't for your help. Hey Jimbo, passed my Ps a while ago knowing about this "stop when you can" rule, which I still try to adhere by now. But I have to say, my instructor never told me about considering who's behind you when stopping, they just said to ALWAYS stop. I'm glad to have this information now, because it never actually occurred to me to think about big cars/trucks which may not be able to accommodate for my stopping at a yellow light! Thanks for the tip, I'll always keep it in mind whenever I'm driving around now 😅

HI Jimbo, thank you so much for your video. I just passed today 1st go in Queensland, 12-04-2023, and I am 54 y/o never driven before in my life. Your video helped me a lot in my driving journey than my driving instructor who doesn't teach me well enough, he just let me drive on my own, applying all the knowledge and skills from your video's. It's like I'm just using my driving instructor car for driving. And if I made mistakes like for example doing the manoeuvre the reverse parallel parking using your reference points, my instructor overcriticized me to the point of telling me to stop watching you tube videos because I'm confused with the reference points that he said he didn't teach. Cut story short, I follow my instructor reference points on the reverse parallel and bay parallel but all the rest of general driving like merging, lane change, roundabouts, t section,and all other important topics that you featured in your video to pass the test are come from your videos that I re watched over and over again that gave me confidence and applied that knowledge and skills in my driving learning journey. Thank you so much for helping a lot of learners like me to be a safe driver and pass the test 1st go.🙂

Hi there sorry to hear you didn't pass. The examiner must have felt that you could have stopped safely. Were there any other fail items ? The best you can do is just rebook and try again. Best of luck 🤞

I actually failed my first test, on the way back to the centre literally 300 meters away because I went through a yellow light that I KNEW I didn't have time to stop for without slamming on the brakes. I scored 99% but the lady wanted to be a jerk.

It can be a fail if you were able to stop safely at the yellow but went through.
