Keep on making videos. I like your style and professionalism. Your also mindful of attention to detail, to make sure everything is just a little bit better and more correct. All in all, I just like that your confident and experienced. The talk is very understandable and straightforward. I Hope to be a professional technician like you one day. I used the word automotive technician because it's a mechanic that knows the detail and specs also. Your videos are among the best on you tube.

Thank you for the video, it was well done. I didn't have to watch the entire 1st part to figure out how to do my front struts. I started taking off the front strut and got to that bolt that you had a problem with and I realized what you're supposed to do with that, so I thought I'd share it with you. I didn't read everybody's comments so someone may have already explained it. You put a closed end socket wrench on the nut and use an Allen to drive the bolt pass through the nut. Don't reverse the bolt, drive it and it will push out right through the nut.
@spelunkerd
@spelunkerd 3 жыл бұрын
When available, those Allen heads sometimes help. Problem is, they are not present in all aftermarket equipment, and when present are often hard to access because of corrosion. I don't see an Allen head in this clip at 2:59, perhaps because they were replaced before.

I had to Replace Both Hubs and Struts (Both Sides) because I couldn't figure out what that "Noise" was after putting New Tires on. If anyone else does this, remember to hang the Caliper assy to the Strut to insure you don't hurt the Brake line. It eas a Job alright but well worth it. Nice video here and your Door Handle one.

Just curious as to why gm doesn't use a gasket between mount and tower. Seems like metal to metal is just a noise concern. Would making your own gasket and placing in between tower and mount throw anything out of whack?

If the bolt doesn't come all the way out when you tap it, just stick a flathead screwdriver in the hole and tap lightly again. That should make them come out easier. Also, make sure you use deep sockets. They work better.

HHR stabilizer bar links should be torqued to around 21-25 lb ft. Tighten them to 59 lb ft. and you’ll probably strip the nuts. This guy got lucky.
