In this video, I show off some custom made Deer Antler Saddles, tell you about this weekend's Mandolin Workshops in Lewistown, IL where I'll be teaching the Rosa Mandolin Method combined with the Nashville Number System, and finally I build/improve a shop tool.

If you follow this channel and own a mandolin, I recomend getting one of Jerry's mandolin deer antler saddles. I ordered one for my Weber mandolin and it totally transformed the volume, punch, and sustain. It now sounds like a mandolin that would cost thousands more. Best thirty nine bucks I ever spent.

Great video Jerry, I made a few of those tools but I do repair work for a hobby and I have not did a hole lot of fret work.But when I can make a tool I do I have all the tools to repair but they are not cheap I am sure you know that.Were can we get more information on the deer saddle. Great Video Jerry! After watching it I wish I had made my fret end file instead of buying it, a 2x4 about 4-6 inches long with one file slot cut into it 90 degrees, and another on the other side at 35 degrees would do the trick. I can't remember what I paid for it but they are handy especially when installing new frets. Thanks for the plug! I really appreciate that! The second way you pronounced my name is correct, many years ago they used to pronounce it the third way you said it and it changed over the years I guess. I still have trouble with it myself sometimes lol Anyways many thanks! I'll let you know when the saddle arrives, from what you said I'm thinking this mandolin is going to be very much improved, it already sounds pretty good and I believe your saddle is going to add to what it already has.Thanks again my friend!
