Update, just replaced my rear magnetic shocks, this guy nailed it! Instructions couldn't get any better. Took 30 min per shock and 30min prep (chock wheels, remove neg battery cable, remove center caps, get tools ready). I will say I reversed the direction of the bolt on the bottom with the new install because it was much easier to get the bolt in that way, tight clearance with the sway bar right there. And, make sure the sensor and air inlet are facing rearward on the rear shocks, I accidentally put one the opposite way and then it became obvious when the sensor and air tube wouldn't reach, had to reverse it adding 5 min to the job.

Exceptionally done brother. I just did my fronts. My brother said that the rented spring compressors were not strong enough so had a shop do it. They messed up and we made three trips total to have them adjusted. What’s your take on the sori compressor? Our’s looks just like yours. My brother said they were bowing when we were attempting to remove them from the struts... BTW your price beat the price I paid at summit racing, by about $120.😀. But, God is good. I still didn’t pay near the dealership price. God bless
@WorkingWithWimberley5 жыл бұрын
God is good! First and foremost! The spring compressors that I rented from Oreillys Auto Parts held up fine. I didn’t notice them bowing. But you have to be safe and use your best judgment. If it looks sketchy, you should stop. Unfortunately it all depends on which compressor you use. And I’m sorry to hear that a shop messed up your struts. But that’s exactly why I make these videos. I’m trying to keep us working on the cars ourselves and out of the hands of these shops lol!

How can you torque it with the wrench on the outside? Or you do it by feel? Is it necessary to disconnect the negative battery terminal?

I couldn’t get a torque wrench on it because there wasn’t enough room. I just made sure everything was nice and tight to where I felt comfortable.
