Thank you I contemplated this job and your video was the best informative one on ding it. I have the manual to now, got the parts, mostly from your links too. Questions though; 1)vwhy not remove the front wheel liner like you did the rear? Looks easier to access but it there a good reason not to revive the front liners? 2) you didn't mention or show jack supporting the front suspension (manual says to). I think the shock holds the lower a arm from dripping to far. Any reason why you don't supporr out or did it just not seen like it was? 3) in your experience will soaking the upper Strut bolts longer, result in not breaking them? If so how long did you let out set, other times? Again thanks, you really explained well to the point that I'm looking forward to doing the job and I'll save enough Labor to cover aton of air tools ama compressor I upgraded for this and other future tasks.

As long as you leave the sway bar end link attached, the sway bar and the opposite side control arm will prevent it from dropping too far.

The new strut looked about 1 1/2 in. Shorter than the old one. Won't that make the rear sag?

Nope. Shocks absorb bumps in the road. It’s the springs job to support the weight of the vehicle. The rear uses shocks, while the front uses struts. Difference is the shock AND spring are built in one. Now if that was shorter, it could cause the front to sit lower.
