I am on the far right side of politics. I am a conservative. However a blind man can see Lewis, Murphy, Worthing and Priestly treat Mays different. I hope he wins his case against them. Anyone can see Lewis is as corrupt as they come. Lewis is as dumb as they come. Mays has rights and so do the residents of the 1st Ward. Lewis is clearly trying to hurt Mays and the 1st Ward by taking away their rights.

Amen. And some people are so caught up on foolishness (omg he cursed) and they don't even realize that half of the council is discriminatory and corrupt. Half of the council is so enthralled in their attempts to silence Mays that they devote all of their energy there--not to the citizens. Then, they speak to the people so rudely. Lewis told the citizens (in a rude and condescending manner): "Tell us where the money can come from? blah blah blah. As a leader, YOU are supposed to be the innovative person to come up with ideas to help the people. Would a teacher really go up to the parents and say "You want me to teach your kids how to read? Show me how to do it!" It's your job. I hope he wins too--this is outrageous and the only one who suffers are the citizens. A crying shame.

My new guilty pleasure supporting and cheering on the Flint residents and Councilman Mays. This resolution to suspend an elected official was sponsored by gun toting Judy and Cussing Ludell😂😂😂. The citizens will uprise on this one for real and me to. The disrespect this council shows citizens is astounding to me. Did anyone see how Murphy walked in front of the citizen speaking while Mr. Mays walks behind the speaker? This is telling and shows who truly cares. BUT WE ALREADY KNOW WHO CARES

@@one007guy why are you SO adamant that Mays be held accountable but Ray Charles to the rest of the council? If we are going to reprimand one for misbehavior, you have to reprimand all. What you all fail to see is that the more Mays is held to a different standard, the more support he gets. People love the underdog.

Where were you in 2020 when JWC told him enough is enough and voted to censure him? He doesn’t learn and continues the same behavior. Once he’s held accountable then I’ll start asking the others to be as well. His supporters are like Trump supporters. He can do no wrong and blame everyone else for his behavior. It’s such 5th Grade middle school behavior it’s too funny!

@@one007guy I was in the DMV, but he and Galloway have reconciled, so who am I to beat dead horses? Also, he’s lost multiple suits against the city, been put out, arrested, and is currently on probation. What else do you want? He has been elected to represent his ward, so apparently they approve (as evidenced by how they show up for him). I mean my goodness--that's definitely accountability.

@@one007guy and no one said he “does no wrong.” We say his actions are not much different from the rest of this council. He goes into name-calling-so do they! We’ve heard “disgrace,” “buffoon,” “narcissistic asshole” and more from this council, so don’t act as if he is the ONLY one out of order. ALL of them misbehave, so ALL of them should be reprimanded. Why is that so difficult to comprehend?

I feel like every time I watch a Flint city council meeting, it’s like a soap opera and reality television show built into one for the entertainment. Including, the cast members of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta is probably be given a run for their monies worth by councilmen Eric Mays and residents of Flint, Michigan. I wonder if Spectacle tv productions is probably going to give Paul Herring, Jr. an Emmy nomination for this.

This is the 2nd council meeting I've watched ourside of all the sound bites. I align with Mays' frustrations with the entire council, and can clearly see Lewis' hate for Mays. So much so, she laothes acknowledging his privileged requests. Basically, shes unprofessional. On a lighter note, how did Quincy "all filler" Murphy get elected. Woild love to see 3rd ward's demographics 😅.

Murphy had potential. Alot of potential because he is a boots on the ground kind of person. But he got in bed with the wrong people. Lost his way. And at times you can tell hes morally conflicted with the decisions he makes. But Ladel stay stroking his ego and Priestly stays rubbing his back, and Eva stays babying him. Hes blinded by false kindness.

Herkenroller, Priestly, Pfiffer, and Lewis all have approved recalls. And now they wrote their own obituary off the council for sure. Evil, just evil trying to retaliate against Mays for the lawsuit announced last week which involved Lewis and Priestly failure on ARPA monies

It was not voted on. Should be voted on by next council. Sounds like they only need 5 votes, same as what they had when voting Kate Fields out in 2021.
