Basic video showing you how to remove and reinstall the front wheel on a 2008 CBR1000RR.
Tools needed:
- Front and Rear Stands
- Ratchet
- 22mm socket
- 14mm socket
- 12mm socket
- Torque wrench
- Bungie cords (optional)
- Loctite & grease (as needed)
Torque reference:
Front Axle Bolt - 58 lbft
Caliper Bolts - 33 lbft
Pinch Bolts - 16 lbft
Before I torque the axle nut I use the front brakes to help center the wheel. Then torque the axle nut and then torque the pinch bolts. Everyone seems to have their own way of doing this but this is how I have always done it.
Video does not include how put your motorcycle on stands. (if you can't manage that on your own you shouldn't attempt to remove your wheel)
