I am from the Central Coast. I am new to Sambar. I just spent 3 weeks solo chasing sambar from Omeo to Dargo, licola, howitt plains then up to Mansfield. I did not manage to see a stag. The dedication I have, the knowledge I don't!

I almost exclusively use Talley lightweight 1 piece bases and rings on all my rifles.

@benrichterjork4264 we ate the heart and took the antlers for a trophy. This is not an area you hunt for meat, unless you have a group of mates that could help split the load. Big stags don't produce great table quality meat except for grinding perhaps. I have no hesitation saying we don't recover meat from these mature stags when I'm this remote. It's a different story if I'm camping by the vehicle, then I'll recover the meat.

@@ZebrasSambarhuntingAdventures Awsome ethics. Kill for youtube likes. As far as meat quality, well that is your opinion. Perhaps you cook it wrong. I have recovered matures stags and always found the meat pretty good. Last one took me 2 and half days. I hunt alone at 56 and I can do it.

You will be in a very small group of people who think that way about my channel. I hunt with people that are very highly regarded as ethical hunters and have been mentored by them over decades. I can see your view in regards to the waste. I find it offensive that you assume I hunt for Likes on KZbin or other social media platforms. Take a good look at my channel and tell me you see someone killing heaps of animals. I have only shot 1 stag in the last 3 seasons and 2 hinds. Hardly an effort for likes 🤷
