Omg this series help piece stuff together for me. Like imagine in ur mind theres full of information about blender tips and tricks from several videos.. This series is like a thread that connected everything. Thank you! Now I can work on shaping with sculpting tools. (I've mostly used the subdivision modifier)

I really love and appreciate your lessons. I have very little knowledge of sculpting and modelling and saw several ways of approaching retopology and remeshing, I know it's probably the most painful stage of modelling process xD

Sculpting is so much easier than polybuilding and came so much more naturally for me, as someone who's experienced in clay modeling in real life. Polybuilding the helmet was the hardest part so far.

You can do it with a mouse. Its just, different--. There's more steps and I think that's why he suggested it.

@@kenzietownsend6644 Ive been using a mouse and it's been working out fine for me. Also want to mention that it's a right handed mouse and I am left handed and it's STILL working out just fine for me :)

Was it really too hard to warn that a graphics tablet is required in the first video?

Hi , to everyone, the tutorial is really great, but everything that started from the 6th minute of 9 part went totally differently. My sculpting tools tool work in another way (I can't make a head or a body smoother like in the video it just inflates the edges and that's all), so maybe you use some sculpting addons? Coz i did everything step by step, completely like Daniel shows. P.S I add Remesh using modifiers, but not like in the video

I have the same problem. Holding shift doesn't work for me. I have no idea where i went wrong, but rn its so difficult and time-consuming to sculpt this way.😢

Same Problem here but just use the smooth tool it works the same

Is there not a way to smooth everything the same amount instead of going over it tediously ?
@kenzietownsend6644 Жыл бұрын
Quad Remesh. Or. Just Remesh but the give and take is it will add 200,000 or 500,000 faces. Then, you still have to go over it. :D

So sculpting did absolutely nothing. So I added a subsurf mod and it sculpted, just not the way it worked in the video. Anyone got any ideas lol

maybe you forgot to remesh
@0CottonBuds2 жыл бұрын
without remesh you dont have enough geometry to work or points to move around so it doesn't do anything in your screen

Would using Dyntopo be a good alternative to remeshing?
@KseRes2 жыл бұрын
Since the Daniel wants to have a consistent poly count through out the mesh of the body, it's better to use Remesh. Dyntopo will make the mesh inconsistent with detail or specifically geometry. If you're going to remesh manualy afterwards, you can choose the Dyntopo.

Why is it better to use remesh, instead of applying the subdivision modifier?
@katrinakruspe8731 Жыл бұрын
The main reason is that subdiv modifier smoothes the sharp edges and ruins your model
