16:53 It can help to stabilise your brush strokes for precise lines by toggling it in Brush Settings > Stroke > Stabilise Stroke

One of the things I do to help not go to overboard on the details, I turn on cavity in the drop down menu, it highlights ridges and darkens valleys, it makes it a lot easier to see what I'm doing sometimes.

[I guess it's really difficult to be an experienced 3d artist.] Daniel: we can do this, and correct a little bit here. I think, that this curve is not perfect, and here's also some problem.... (etc.) Elena: **opens Blender, looks at her model** ok, it's just perfect as it is. **proud forever** [The less you know, the better you sleep] :D

okay now it looks like skin now, technically this might look easy but it requires feeling to sculp it, lets go to the next part 💪

Hello, what graphic tablet do you use to sculpt your models?. Thanks for the tutorials

I don't know the character well. Humanoid. Obviously. We are layering "bones" underneath skin that appears to be a combination of muscle and metal. Works well in 2D. :D It is very complex to adapt that structure to 3D. Also. increasing the mesh to above 40,000 faces helped with these softer bone shadows.

Is there a recommended range of resolution to stay in when working on a sculpt? I tried blocking out a model by sculpting before at 0.03 (voxel size) and some parts came out lumpy. But I see that you still have a relatively smooth surface even at 0.01. Does having a modeled base mesh sort of alleviate the smoothness issue? Also, watching this really helped remind me of some of the stuff that I know and don't know. Thanks. EDIT: does the size of the object also affect the voxel size value?

The voxel size is relative to the world scale, so for small objects you will need higher numbers. That’s why you will have to play with it until you get something similar 👍

Yeah, at 0.005 voxel size my PC said "No way, no how" and crashed the blender.

Same. I ended up duplicating the base mesh and using a multiresolution modifier on it instead.
