Great video. However, NEVER EVER just clean the round filter. A new round filter is about $12 from the dealer. The metal screen blocks large metal parts from damaging the transmission and the round filter blocks small particles from damaging the transmission.

@@asianmechanicguy6483 Many brake cleaners are chlorinated solvents like perchloroethylene. This is cancer causing. PERC also breaks down organic materials like oil. I wouldn't want any still left in my oil when I put the transmission back together.

@@asianmechanicguy6483 If you're sure what your spraying will be completely removed use what you want but "degreasers" do exactly that. If any pools in spots you can't clean it will mix with your new oil and break down its purpose. You are much better to NOT spray at all and just change the oil anew. "Like disolves like.," hence oil dissolves oils.

Followed your video and did the same, cleaned both filters really good and used Castro Cvt fluid. Car is back on the road without any issues. Thank you!

i disagree and agree i had success on tranny replacement from junkyard from the past maybe it depends on where the tranny came from ..if it came from a slightly crashed car from the rear then engine and tranny would be ok ...

I have 2008 versa hatchback. In limp mode and no check engine or fault code. Is it possible cleaning filter and change cvt oil will fix the problem. Car moves very very slow but its not drivable. Do you think its a transmission issue at together. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

if you clean the tranny filter it will help the fluid to go up and distributed well inside the tranny if that happens ur car to will function normally..so try this approach you can watch my other nissan versa transmission videos so you will never mess up with the filter bolts that has different sizes

well base on what u said i think ur transmission is toast dont drive it scan it check the codes check the fluid smell it if its burn then ur tranny is done if its not try to clean ur filter and put ns2 cvt fluid

brand new one is better.. I couldn't replace mine with a new one cuz i couldn't find one in any autoparts store here in my place.. And also nissan dealership that i ask for that parts will order it for another week

more than 7 quarts but u need to check ur dipstick after u warm up the car it should be on warm level

im not sure kung parehas sila but kung cvt transmission ang versa note mo most likely ganito rin ang design nya my kunting additional feature lang like sensors ..wirings solenoids etc..mostly kung idrop mo ung tranny pan around 7liters or more cvt ns2 fluid ang ilalagay mo

@@asianmechanicguy6483 ung problema ko kc sir ung pag brake ako tapos gas ulit mawalan ng power ang engine for about 5 secs tapos balik normal nanaman tapos walang engine light at code.. baka makakatulong kung ichange ang trans fluid or kahit spark plug

its another filter you dont need to replace those..just clean it with brake cleaner and it will work like new

What are your guys' opinion on a CVT Transmission, i love my 2012 versa i recently bought used. I recently dented my cover on my bottom transmission pan and am going to fix it, @Rhaswin's Garage Mekanikong Pinoy is it ok to empy fluid and replace fluid like a normal oil change? Some mechanics use a machine, is it necessary to do all that or is taking off a cover and replacing fluid ok?

Cvt transmission is the modern transmission today if u notice those latest car right now were equipped with cvt transmission check out latest Toyota corolla subaru etc...

If i were you its better to take off the pan clean the filter and everything will be good rather than just draining it and pouring new cvt oil.. Its just like you taking a shower without changing ur shirt..

About the machine in the shop its all about business they just make it faster so that they can do more repairs and more money.. For this kind of repair i dont recommend suction machines.. Its better to open the pan and clean the filter anyway everything there is reusable except ur cvt oil i hope i answers all ur questions... Thanks for watching my videos

Wooden stands are perfectly fine if done correctly and some consider it safer simply because of the lower risk of manufacturer defect which happen more then people think.
