The amount of dice that is worth $1000 is so crazy to me. 😂 I can see the thought process: “Damn, this is a lot of dice. What do I do with it?” I know, I’m going to make a massive dice tray” lol it’s awesome.

Nice. At first I was thinking about the possibility to get the resins refractive index matched to the dices refractive index, so you'd have a bunch of gold glitter and splinters seemingly floating freely in the cured slab, coalescing magically into the shape of dice. But then you mentioned liquid core dice and my mind went to, what if you could have a bunch of free floating liquid cores freely floating in a slab of resin, forming the shapes of dice while remaining visibly fluid in their confined shapes. Though I think the only way to achieve that is to pour ones own dice in the first place, to have the same refractive index on every resin pour.

Very cool idea! I thought about using liquid core, but the outer acrylic might not have shown up making it look like blobs of liquid.... we'll never know... unless you do it :)
@J0ermungand Жыл бұрын
@@TabletopWitchCRAFT Yeah, that would've looked silly... I think what this requires is to cast a hollow dice with the inner hollow having the same structure a dice would, rather than a sphere or something. I guess it could be achieved by casting wax into a dive mold, create some kind of stem and then cast that into a blob of resin. Then melt out the wax and fill with whatever that fancy swirly liquid is and close off with some resin before embedding it into the actual resin slab. But, I have never worked with resin before - or casting in general - so I don't know how feasible this even is. I'm just very much stuck in 3D printing as my method of crafting physical objects :P What did all that resin cost you? If I wanted to start a setup, what could I expect to spend on the materials and tools? Any idea?

Board Game Shop: Me: I want a dice please. Clerk: The correct term is 'die'. Me: I want 2 die. Clerk: Plural is dice, alone it's die. Me: I want 2 die alone.... All Hail Gerard! My personal experience with him was with a large Shifting Lands order in the time of the beer bug, as it went through an 18 month shipping hellscape. Solid, prompt and astute monitoring of the whole process by the man til the day it arrived at my door. So stoked that you lot have all joined forces. Thumping great work as always brother! 🥃🤘🏼

The dice trey is sick! The dice themselves however, lack contrast. You can barely see what you rolled on them.
