1,000+ Ducks Go to Eat Snails at South Africa Winery: Vergenoegd Wine Estate

Thousands of ducks are employed at the Vergenoegd Winery in Stellenbosch South Africa to eat snails from the grape wines. This helps to keep the wine grapes natural, reducing the pestisides otherwise needed to keep snails and bugs off of the wine grapes. Visitors can come to the Vergenoegd wine farm and watch the Indian Runner Ducks get released into the vineyards everyday. It's quite the sight to tour the winery and watch thousands of ducks waddling through this South Africa winery!
