1.0l, 3 cylinder, 2008 Corsa D Starter motor (and alternator) removal and replace

Changing the Starter motor on my nephews 1.0l, 3 cylinder, 2008 Corsa D. Had to remove the alternator for access. Sorry for the dodgy camera work in places. I was on my own and it was tight!

Great video, was very helpful. Thanks :) I've removed my starter on a 1.2 engine and there was a lot more room between the starter and the alternator. So was able to do the job without removing the alternator.

😂 thought it might be easier with 4 cylinders rather than this sewing machine engine!

Hi there. Just wanted to say thanks for posting the video. My son and I followed your instructions and they were spot on. There was no way we could have replaced the starter motor without first removing the offside road wheel, the splash guard, the belt tensioner and the alternator, especially when rolling underneath the car on the drive. Getting the forward flange bolt back in was a bit tricky and I exercised a large part of my expletive vocabulary, but it went in eventully. Cheers!
