Seeing another before 2010 SEED kit like this (I own the Gaia), the only things they just need to change are the articulation of the kits and color separation.

Nah, lets say even if you improve the articulation and paint the old Strike Freedom, it's still gonna look kinda awful next to the revive one, the proportions make a huge difference Edit: well the Impulse comparisons pretty much speak for themselves

Another way on make the stand is, buy ACtion Base 2, use the one that clips Z'gok to clip the gunbarrel but you have to buy two so that you can use the two clippers for it

Now that I have all these cool Windams, I wish I had a Chaos Gundam to pose up in the air with them. As it stands, this older kit just isn't up to snuff- I had one awhile back, and wasn't really satisfied.

to me the Chaos' MA mode looks like a more aggressive Macross Variable Fighter's GERWALK mode except it leans more to melee combat uses, funny enough the Gundam Abuhool from the Gundam 00 side stories MS mode design is an intentional reference to the Macross GERWALK.

So it's both an Aegis sucessor mobile suit and a modern Gunbarrel unit for Cosmic Era. I still prefer the simpler Calamity Gundam.

In all honesty, the Chaos in particular does not hit as a ZAFT machine coz of heavy similarities to the Moebius Zeros Gunbarrels and Aegis' Scylla cannon and claw sabers. I understand the design is meant to be for the bad guys, just like how GP02s role in the story influenced the design.

With the Impulse being just the Strike but ZAFT made, I suppose they could have used the Moebius Zero as an inspiration but that is just a theory. And hey, machines are always inspired by one another anyway in real life regardless of origin.

Both HG 144 red frame and green frame are basically the same. They are made from the same production mold. Both red and green frame has good articulation except on the knee. Knee can only bend 90 degrees, no double joint.

I totally get that blood-orange has a lot of red characteristics, but do those stickers really look 'orange' to you? They're clearly red, unless for some reason they appear more orange in-person which doesn't make any sense to me. Am I wrong in my assumption or is this just a case of your camera being calibrated differently? *[EDIT]:* Ah shit, I had my blue-blocker Gunnar glasses on. Without the shades, those stickers/coloured-parts do like a bit on the orange side. My bad!

SEED HGs seem to be rather crap from what i've seen. (Although the 2 i have, Astray Green & LaGOWE which atr decent) That's why Bandai have been making new versions in the HGUC line. (So far i only have the Aile Strike & Force Impulse) Let's hope more SEED MS get remade.

There's too many filler and recap episodes, such as there's one whole episode about "who is Lacus Clyne" which we already know who she is. (I guess that this episode is might for people who watch SEED Destiny as first Gundam ever, I guess?)

I believe that most of the hate is because of Kira. The way he's written in Gundam Seed Destiny is the ultimate Mary Sue. He never does anything wrong and even when he does something wrong, it ends up being right. This really kicks into high gear with the second half of Destiny were the main cast gets sidelined for Kira and friends. This is then followed by more bad writing to justify why the previous main cast is now evil and Kira and friends were right all along. Other reasons include recycled animation, borrowing plot elements from previous series (including having almost the same ending as Gundam Seed), the bandwagon effect and hating it because it's so popular despite its many flaws.

This is my personal opinion. Seed and Seed Destiny series to me is like a mishmash of Gundam 79+Zeta+ZZ storyline,with excessive screaming of each others name(wth is this? Naruto?), and now includes a singing diva (Macross).

If I'm already expected to pain, why would I bother with stickers. GW might also charge you through the @$$, but at least they don't make you fight with stickers on their plastic crack. They also don't make you get a blade from another kit. Nor do they miss a key feature that makes it unique. As far as I know, I'm a lore guy, I don't have the time or money to get into the models.

Chaos gundam was probably the most weirdly designed if not most least effective gundam in the Destiney series. I mean What the fuck even its mobile armor mode supposed to do the the standard mode cannot do? also what the hell does the chaos gundam mobile armor mode supposed to be? a freaking robot dinosaur?

What is the point of this mobile suit's transformation? It is literally just a less humanoid giant robot but there is no difference in function, unlike the Gaia, Aegis, Abyss, Savior, etc. SEED was truly a waste of time. The best part about it were the zeon MS redesigns - Zaku Warrior is non-ironically one of my favorite Zakus.

Cause if there isn't, they should have just did the Zeon route and create high performance mono eye suits like the Sazabi and not gundams. This kit is a solid Joke. Oh this is one of those kits from the for kids gundam tv shows. Almost all the kid show kits are way sub-par. As far as I can tell kid show kits are a huge cash cow for bandi. It seams to me ( my own opinion ) the newer low end HG kits are looking a lot like this one.
