Flashy, expensive games have overstayed their welcome. Many have lost the fun factor. I got my copy of Wizard's Quest the other day. Great game. No minis or plastic, but it's fun.

I absolutely agree with this. I bought LOTR: Duel on a whim and consider it the best purchase I've made in years. The presentation and mechanisms are so direct and simple yet rich. I actually cringe when I see a new minis game on my friend's shelf bc I know we'll spend half of that game searching for which mini to get out and I love painting minis and have my own share of those games.

I intentionally keep a very small collection. And I keep saying I’m going to stop. But currently looking ag Arydia and Dragon’s Down, and I’m tempted again. The next big game I’m waiting for is DCeased Zombicide. (There have been many, many expensive games that I boyghf and then got rid of almost immediately. I regret every one of them.)

Add Secrets of the Lost Tomb to the list. Can’t believe Late Pledge is still open. (Cancelled my original pledge.) So much stuff for $399. Very tempting.
