Several comments here mention the burrito pillow, saying that it is easier to make than the pillows shown here in Donna's video. Good luck with finding a YT video tutorial on burrito pillows that matches the quality of this video by Donna. I watched several out of curiosity, and I chose ones with high viewer numbers. All of them were a MESS. Jordan Fabrics is the gold standard, not only for quilts, but also for the occasional accessory projects they feature.

Because of your previous pillow cover videos, my grandsons, 9 and 11, each made a quilted pillow using the back envelope version for their mom for mother's day. They chose their own fabrics from Grandma's stash and sewed every stitch with love and precision. They love the creativity of sewing.

These are great. A quilting friend of mine gave us 2 Christmas pillow cases as a gift in a fun Christmas flannel fabric. A terrific, quick gift for anyone and at Christmas, who cares if they match your bed or not--it's just fun to have them on the bed during the holiday season. I look forward to getting them out each year and I always think of my friend when I see them.

Great Tutorial! It gives me ideas to make pillowcases to store the quilts in. Using the leftover fabric from the quilt for the pillowcases it will identify which quilt is in the pillowcase. These pillowcases can become pillow shams when the quilts are in use.

I'm one of those wait till the last minute type people who begin a wedding quilt 2 weeks before the wedding. Of course, it hasn't been quilted by the time of the wedding, so I like to make matching pillow shams to go with it. I can whip them up quickly the day before the wedding! These are what the bride and groom will open, so they know what's coming next. Seems to make them happy.

Regarding pillow #2: fabric width is not standardized, so when picking 3 fabrics, check to make sure that they are all the same width. I learned that lesson the hard way when my primary fabric turned out to be less than 40". The finished pillow case looked fine, but was a struggle when it came to inserting the pillow.

I have made hundreds of pillow cases. Donna, please look at the burrito or hot dog method online. No serging, no folding over the seam. First seam combines the body, ,accent and cuff. It's the neck of the pillow case. I do combine the body using French seams. Sew right sides together, then wrong sides together. This method can be used in the 1 piece case too. Thanks for all the color selection alternatives.
