This episode has helped three members of my family cope with three different "afflictions". Thank you so much!❤

Pres. and Sister Sturm lovingly received my daughter into their mission on her 2nd assignment during the covid pandemic. She always felt valued and appreciated while there. She loved serving the Hispanic community in Iowa. She and her new husband and I returned to see the Sturms shortly before their release. They were very busy but willing to meet with us for a bit. What a wonderful couple they are! During her time serving with them, they taught her and inspired her to desire sanctification. I teared up when he said they still pray for their returned missionaries. Her mission forever changed her life.

I love these podcasts and others that I listen to. They provide so much insight into the Savior's teachings. I take notes too. Brother Bytheway, I have a quote from you that I love that goes with this podcast. I don't remember which podcast it was. I didn't put a date on it. "Rather than wondering when Christ will come, let's just come unto Christ. And then it won't matter when He comes because we will already be with Him."

This podcast is the best!! Every episode (since the "beginning"!) has had so many nuggets & pearls; your guests are brilliant: educated, uplifting, down-to-earth. Thank you SO MUCH 😁 And, I feel like you, Hank and John, and all the team, are my "friends in my phone" 😂 There are so many brilliant and helpful podcasts but this one is my favourite; I tell everyone about it 😊

Brother Sturm was an incredible religion teacher. I took his Latter-day Saints and the Bible class in 2015. One of the most intelligent, kind, and dedicated people I've ever met.

I listen to the podcast on my commutes in L.A. This discussion of the 2nd Coming is so pertinent right now. Watching the video, I see your happy faces when discussing this, as we find together joy and peace. I ask members all the time, do you feel it? Yes, the righteous feel things are hastening indeed. Thanks Brothers.

I love John’s comments on the two metaphors for the coming of Christ. That makes so much more sense.

I am really glad that John added the part (when it comes to the tree) of the trees roots. That tall, strong tree has taken time to get that way. I am a sinner. However, as I've turned my life over to Christ he has molded me and shaped me over the years to become a better man. I'm not the same man I was 10, 15, 20+ years ago. I have a very addictive personalit. But, as I've turned to Him, trusted Him, depended on Him, he has changed my heart. Over time. I can testify that time combined with the Saviors atonement heals ALL wounds.

Thank You for the definition of Comfort. so instead of focusing on the Holy Ghost as like a blanket at baptism we should focus on the fact that with the Holy Ghost we will have the strength to choose righteousness .

When my husband died, my children were already not attending Church. I didn't want to be at Church on my own after having my family with me and stopped attending for a few years. I wanted to return, or as I said to myself, go home. My life was so messed up. After a few months, the same doubts crept back and I prayed to Heavenly Father to know if my children would ever return to Church. I was told clearly that it wouldn't be this side of the Veil, but they would return. This is my hope and faith.

Dear Sister - When I recently became divorced after 40+ years of a temple marriage, it was hard to go to church and sit by myself. I can't tell if you are currently going to church on your own from your message, but I do understand how hard that can be. I live away from my adult children. I was prompted to find someone sitting alone and sit with them. I will share with you something a great man I admire said to me. "You may be the only Book of Mormon your family will ever read" - Every week when I go to church prayerfully I always feel loved by the Spirit. I need this to keep going. It is my new normal. I pray you are getting stronger each day with your life. I find these podcast each week helpful in understanding the words of God explained more clearly and are uplifting to me.

I think we do get to witness a mini veil experience when we see families gathered at the veil at the temple waiting for someone who is going for the first time to come through the veil. It is an opportunity to see that on a much smaller scale.

The tribulation has many names besides the tribulation: jacobs trouble, ‘the wrath,’ “hour of trial or temptation,’ to mention a few. Could these scriptures testify of a pre tribulation ‘harpazo?’ Revelation 3:10 Daniel 12:1-2 Luke 17:24-37 John 14:3 Matthew 24:37-46 1 Thess 5:9 1 Thess 4:17 harpazo Revelation 16:5
