The problem isn't adding cosmetic blocks, the problem is adding purely cosmetic blocks over and over. It's the least common denominator - anything they add will naturally be cosmetic. That is not the case with being useful/valuable to players who play a more objective based game.

The eyeflower making you blind is such a good idea I havent tested stuff with the creaking yet, but if they work with blindness in the way youd expect (aka allowed to move if they are outside the small non blinded cone of the player) then they would be a fantastic mechanic to watch out for

I think the reason we don’t have a major update by now is that Minecraft is transitioning from summer to spring release, and to bridge the gap. The other “drops” like armoured paws and bundles of bravery is part of the update’s development schedule

I don't really see the issue, I mean trident farms exists. You can easily automate it. Also, do you even need to? You can just spawn a bunch of creaking in one area and light a tnt, or use harming splash potion. You can get a bunch of it that way. Plus, I think it's reasonable for mojang to expect players to actually play the game, instead of just standing in an afk farm.

And "trident farms" are a bedrock exclusive feature. It's an arbitrary limitation that does not enhance the game but instead just limits playstyle/methodology. And no, "afk farms" are where the PLAYER has an auto input, like a trident, since that's a player input. An "automatic farm" is where you can do OTHER THINGS, ya know IN THE GAME, while the farm produces resources to maximize your outputs.

I for once i like this additions. each block is nice in it's own way. i personally feel like the orange is quite strong and the coloring could be a little less saturated. but that's just my opinion because i like more pastel colors but someone else could be exciting about this coloring the only complain i have with "adding items" (which again, these blocks, the resin, the creaking and the biome) is that the new items have a single use. items such as the echo shards. the only use is to make the recovery compass, which in hardcore worlds is totally pointless and in regular worlds if you die carrying it is also pointless because it's also dropped... (like for example if you die using your armor in a cave full of mobs far away from the base, you get the compass and you go towards your death point to recover the items and the mobs are still there (zombies picking up items and mobs spawning again) then you'll likely be less prepared to such scenario and there's a bigger chance to die again.

How about if you touch the flowers more than once closed or open you hallucinate the creaking and if you have a dog there and you hallucinate the creaking you hit the creaking but you hit your dog and if you have a friend there like another player you hit them instead and when you hit the creaking and no players or animals are there it won't do anything and it'll make a weird sound. And another cool thing is how the creaking could spawn out of the tree that has the heart in it and if you stare at it for too long you become a part of the Forest and you become a creaking

I'm sorry, but if you call the Winter Drop just reskins and cosmetic blocks, you lose all rights to call 1.20 a good update: Bamboo and cherry wood? Cosmetic wood variants. Archeology? Gets you cosmetic pots. Sniffers? Cosmetic plants Armor trims? Cosmetic and add no extra utility or damage reduction to armor. I think the most game changing feature from that whole update is maybe chiseled bookshelves and their redstone interactions.

The minecraft creative team wasn't very creative with the resin block. So much wasted potential for amber blocks and bricks, which could be partially see through like actual resin/amber, and resin in itself is soft and sticky so it doesn't make much sense to make normal bricks out of them, they could've been sticky bricks at least or something

Okay, I know this is sort-of off topic but this has really been bothering me and I need help. Over the past 4-5 months I have not been able to play Minecraft at all because of this. Whenever I try to load into my world, or even start a new one, my Xbox gets loud and shuts off. Sometimes it instantly shuts off. One thing is in common though, it says my console overheated. This is weird as I always have my door open, my window open, and the ceiling fan in my room on. How is this possible. The other thing is every other game on my Xbox works fine. Madden, GTA, Roblox, they all work completely fine, but for Minecraft is breaks my Xbox. It is now October, and I was hoping since it's getting colder out the overheating would stop, but no! Believe it or not it has gotten worse! Before, after 3 tries or so you could get inside a world, but now I can't at all! And during fall and winter it gets VERY cold in my room. I'm going crazy. I love Minecraft so much, and it is sad it is unplayable right now. So, does anybody here know a solution or a way to fix this? Is my Xbox just crappy? Or, is this just a bug on Minecraft's end? Please let me know because nothing I'm trying seems to work and I am running out of solutions.

Them canning PCVR support in favour of PSVR is the most rediculous thing ever Think about it They supported these devices for years without an issue but suddenly now that theres going to be a PSVR version its too hard I liked having the option of looking at my builds in VR but now I cant unless i play java
