Wow. I built this car when I was 12 years old. I’m 53 years young now and my 27-year-old son bought me this for Christmas! Here I go! $80 1980s vintage model set cost me $300 in supplies I love it! Wish I had this video 39 years ago! Thanks for inspiration!

Great job! I was usually wet sanding at the end, and not between clear coats as well. I will try this next time, thanks for the tips & tricks!

You did a great Job. I truely liked this video because its just gives me chills. On minute 21, you put the trimmed lens into a White Medium on a wood cube, to allow you to polish the lens. May i ask what Medium thas was? I had always issues on polishing small clear parts. Thank you.

Refreshing to see someone that has there painting skills mastered! I used to wait 30-60 days for waxing, is this still an issue? Paint manufacturers used to call for this! micro mesh used from 4000 to 12000 wax wasn’t necessary for me. Some builders wonder why there foil doesn’t stay on.🤔
@MRLINSSCALEMODELING2 жыл бұрын
hi, I used to use lacquer paint,and the drying time is about 3-6 days depend on how much layers of paint,I usually do not use wax on my painted project,except for rubber parts.. I use BMF sometime,sometimes they just don't fit very well,I think maybe due to some grease on surface..😓 thank you for your watching!! cheers! 😊

The finish on that paint is nothing short of incredible. Edit: One question. The finished model shows like a black around the windscreen chrome which simulates the rubber. How did you do that?

Well done. I like the finish on the body. I'm currently building this kit and I noticed some differences between yours and mine. The headrests in my kit are more like what you fabricated. Also the back window on mine has the additions you made. Quick Question: How did you know that you could get the body completely built before you put the chassis on it?
@MRLINSSCALEMODELING3 жыл бұрын
hi,glad you got a better kit! about your question:I always test part fitting with masking tape before gluing parts together...in this case, there are gaps between the chin and body, I decide to put this parts together and fill the gap,that will make painting easier. another suggestion:you can assemble the exhaust pipe after body and chassis marriage,that would be easier! thank you for watching and happy modeling!!
