Currently working on this kit. The body is very accurate aside from the front section below the grill. The 1/24 scale makes this kit a joy to detail. Keep the 1/24 scale kits coming Revell! This vid show how good the body proportions are. I will get the Shelby R version coming out for 2023.

Wonderful video, thanks so much for posting! One question, please: When you post thinning ratio, for example 1:3, is that 1 part thinner to 3 parts paint or 1 part paint to 3 parts thinner? Thank you, I'm looking forward to building this kit as my skill level advances.
@MRLINSSCALEMODELING
@MRLINSSCALEMODELING 2 жыл бұрын
thank you very much!!😊the thinning ratio 1:3 means 1 parts of paint and 3 parts of thinner. In fact, there is no absolutely correct mixing ratio..the example I provided can be used as a reference. If I have the opportunity in the future, I will make a video about paint and painting tips.stay tuned!!😉

Great to watch - husband is working on the '66 Shelby 350H model and has a couple of parts that are not mentioned in the build. Numbers 54 & 55 that look almost like long fan blades and number 85 that is 2 identical pieces. Just wondering if you might know what they are if they are supposed to be added somewhere on the car? Thanks for any information you may be able share.

i know this is a detail not many will care about but he dot the firing order on the engine pistons wrong. if you imagine the (from the front) left side of the engine as pistons 1, 2, 3, 4 ( down and away) and the right side pistons as 5, 6, 7, 8 (going down and away) then the correct firing order will be 1 - 5 - 4 - 2- 6 - 3 - 7 - 8. the way he wires it up seems to be 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8. this basically has all the pistons on one side fire first before the other side fires and will cause the engine to seriosly shake at every revolution.

@@MRLINSSCALEMODELING thank you for your attention, here in Brazil it is difficult to know which model has the holes to put the candle wires, there are models like this kit but without wires for the candle wires, that's why I asked what the level of difficulty is because I thought the ones that come more detailed are level 5

hi,this model comes without the wires,you need to add on by yourself,and there are very shallow holes on the distributor, I drill out 0.3mm holes on it and use 0.3mm copper wire to detail up it.😊

What airbrush do you use and thinner
@MRLINSSCALEMODELING
@MRLINSSCALEMODELING 2 жыл бұрын
hi, my favorite airbrush is Mr.hobby ps289 0.3mm,it can do most jobs I need...the thinner depends what kind of paint you use, in this case, the paint I used is lacquer paint, so I use mr.color lacquer thinner

The entire oil pan on the 289HP was aluminum (silver), not just the sump at the bottom.
