“It’s not fair to judge yesterday’s mistakes with today’s knowledge.” Very insightful!

I appreciated the thoughts that were shared. I wanted to share a differing perspective. I suffer from depression, and find that I consume more than I contribute. My depression acts like a welder's mask where only an intense light allows me to "see". It has been such a struggle to understand how I experience God's love. I have had to learn how to be ok with the darkness and navigate it. I have learned what brings the intense light that I need to see on a regular basis. So, while I still consume more than I contribute, I endeavor to make contributions that are my "widow's mite". 19:25

Thank you so much for inviting us to consider more nuance in our engagement. And you have done so in such a peaceable, helpful way. You got me thinking, and your reference to the widow's mite is so profound. What we have available to give and what we need is so relative. I'm so grateful that the Savior is our judge and he knows our hearts. It sounds like your commitment and the exercise of your faith is a deeply precious gift. I believe our abilities and needs can really shift from day to day, year to year. I have had some personal experience with depression through chronic pain and postpartum mood disorders--what you shared about learning about your connection with God and what your needs are is so inspiring. My comment in the podcast was more about our attitude--and I could have been more clear and sensitive. Thank you!

I would like to thank the Dyers (and, of course, Hank and John) for helping me works through a few problems that I've been having with family members this past week. Their insights really helped me open my eyes and see things from a different vantage point. I'm so thankful for the help they provided me this week when I really needed it.

I LOVE this episode!! Hank and John and the Dyers, thank you SO much for what you have shared!! It's lifted me as a person and as a parent. I plan to listen again and take notes. I very much as a parent struggle to not get stuck in the "I wish I had known I could have done better with my kids and with people!" Thank you for this!! I love this podcast!!

Loved Brother Smith's sharing his experience with his wife coming out of the temple and about that teaching moment they had! It's so true many of us might feel not smart. If we could only have done a better job when raising our children. Thank you for sharing it!! ❤

Thank you so much for this podcast! I especially needed to hear this one today! You helped me look past my perceived faults in the past and present - as a parent especially - and realize that God’s love for me and for my children makes up for whatever I could have done better.

I love your pod casts. Today while I was listening I thought of the Primary song I taught to the Primary children. Keep the commandments, keep the commandments, in this there is safety and peace. Who doesn’t want to live safely and in peace. Keeping the commandments gives us both of those feelings in our lives.

Thank you for mentioning the primary song. It is the perfect message to bring together the primary lesson I have in my heart to teach the children today.

I am so grateful for your insights! For sharing what others have learned. As humans, we are so much subjected to the flesh. One way is what could have been changed about the past. U am grateful you shared that experience about not looking back, but look forward and keep trying to do better. Work on today, this moment with those truths we have and that new knowledge. Stop beating ourselves up about the past. Just keep moving forward. I tend to move in baby steps, and often it feels like 2 steps forward and 1 back, but however it looks like in each of our lives... move forward with trust and love of our Savior in all we do 😀🙏

I agree with Brother after when he talked about what we knew in our pre-mortal life. My patriarchal blessing said the while I was waiting to come to earth I was taught all the things that would happen to me here. I’ve had many experiences I can’t imagine I chose- but I know I agreed to them. I’ve dealt with the intense struggle of kids on drugs. I’ve had two of my boys die while in their 20’s. But I be know it’s all part of Gods plan and love for me because I have learned incredible things from these experiences. I am a different (progressing) person because of them.

When Sister Dyer started telling the story of the glass beach I imagined there would be some well-meaning soul come along and clean up the beach bit by bit, or who would recruit others to help clean it up in one big project. But it wasn't the work of man that transformed the trashed beach into something beautiful. It was the work of God. He did not dispose of or remove the unsightly and even life-threatening trash, but through time and nature breaking down and continually polishing the glass, remade the ugly scene into a sparkling thing of beauty. How like His works in our lives. Patience. He is mighty to save.

"It's not fair to judge yesterday by today's knowledge." _ On spot. And I think that applies to so many areas of life, including politics, and history, as well as church history. But at the same time, we still don't have all knowledge, so let's not get ahead of ourselves either, and think that we are so far ahead of our ancestors, because in some areas, i think we have regressed and devolved. That's where humility comes in - to acknowledge truth, in and around us, and acknowledge that our Father in Heaven and Christ are the Ones that know all things, not us.

I just love these 4 faces! We're coming up to the end of the year of New Testament study. It's been my best year of that ever, because I have done it with you guys. I have learned so much and so appreciate your giving of time and knowledge to educate people like me! I have a question for Sister Aislin, you mentioned ideas from Elder Uchtdorf twice in the first half about light I think. I took down a note and have been trying to find them, but no luck. Do you remember? I would love to have the correct references. Can you help me? Thank you. And again guys, thanks you for all you do! ❤❤❤

The Word of God = Jesus Christ = The Gospel of Jesus Christ. Anti-Christ = against Christ = against The Gospel of Jesus Christ = against The Word of God Hence, an antichrist will be anyone who despises the gospel and the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. There are many out there. And amongst them are Christians!
