Scratch built by Pat Cuss.
Pat used drawings from a wind sock data file and built it from scratch back in 2008.
It took Pat around 6 Months from start to finish to complete The Dr.1.
It’s a true 1/3rd scale at 120 inches.
Pat decided to painted It in the colours of Ernst Udett,
the second highest ace to the Red Baron with 62 aerial victories in WW1.
The model is Powered by a Zenoah 62 direct drive,
Swinging 24x8 menz prop.
Has a Mixture of hitec and savox high torque servos,
weighs in at 18kg.
Flown on Spektrum radio.
It’s now owned by Andrew Craddock and flown by Keith Barnes.

Fokker dr.I is my favorite ww 1 aircraft. Nice camouflage on this plane. Looks like a real aircraft.

The detailing on dis Driedecker is ASTONISHING. I have always been fascinated by this marque. The scheme is good, the stripes don't interfere with the lines, like the absurd "kensch mi noch" or whatever of Kempf.. Lovely realisation of the Tripe! The throttle control in vertical produces some lovely effects. 👍🌟

I think, it's "Kennscht mi noch?" Which means do you still know me? Used by Fritz Kempf. He only shot down 4 enemy aircrafts.

That's right, thanks for the correction. In fact Kempf scored not a single victory in this particular triplane, so it makes the ridiculous way in which the absurd paint job spoiled the lines of this iconic WW1 warbird..

that absurd paint job was designed to draw the enemy to him in a statement saying here i am and im not scared of you so come and get me, but i guess the enemy were too scared of his confident statement and stayed away from him if he never shot anything down in this plane !

@@tbobborap1 No, no; they were so horrified by Kempf's lack of good taste, they feared they would lose control of their aircraft from laughing if they got too close to THAT paint job.. 🤣👍

For a 62cc gasoline engine, it’s fairly quite! Is the exhaust running into a canister or some other aftermarket silencer? 🇨🇦 Or do Zenoahs just come with a better muffler then DLE, RCGF engines?

Hi Glen. It’s just running off a standard Zenoah silencer. I think these are baffled where as the the dle silencers have nothing in them to deaden the sound.

@@CheifyRC ok thanks for the info! Makes sense as to why it’s quieter. My RCGF twin 31cc has an open Pitts style exhaust and it’s noisy 😕
