Every single time I see you uploaded the new Tirpitz video I have to stop everything I'm doing and just watch it. She's my all time favorite ship and you are THE MOST dedicated and skilled modeler I've ever seen on KZbin, I cannot watch any other model of her now because of this, I'm really looking forward to see her done

All was amazing but the propeller was simply jaw dropping. I was unsure about the light green you mixed at first but when you applied it, it was simply perfection. Never have I seen someone take that approach for propellers and it's totally mind blowing, and dare I say more convenient than having to deal with a perfectly smooth gold finish. And credit must also be given to your chipping skills, not once does it look out of scale.

Outstanding! Especially the chains look like a complete pain to assemble, and I also really like how accurately you painted the capstans in red and green. I thought that the weathering was a bit overdone, but Tirpitz was drydocked for the last time in late 1941. After leaving for Norway in January 1942, she would never see Germany again. So by 1944, the ship would likely have suffered quite severely due to the long exposure to the elements.

Nice work! Question on the propellers. The real ones are bronze I believe. Does bronze oxidize green like copper? Also, what are the things that look like windows on the bottom of the bow?
@EbroinSong3 жыл бұрын
qph.fs.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-1e3ef61fdc3320cd20508acc1c14f440 Yes, bronze becomes green when it oxidizes because it contains copper. And the rectangular things are plates for the active sonar.
@pakopiko863 жыл бұрын
As always, amazing. Those little chains looked like a pain, but they turned out spectacular. I have a question, the last one in the poop was not too short? I think it should go further to the capstan. 13:10
@EbroinSong3 жыл бұрын
The anchor at the center is back-up one. If she lost an anchor, sailors will connect the chain to the center one. So the center anchor has no capstan for now because all the main anchors are present.

Do you think Bismarck also suffers with that much corosion ? On the reference pictures of Bismarck I can not see much weathering , almost not at all ... What is your opinion ?

Hello there. No Bismarck did not. As she was only around for a year. Which Is still a good amount of time for rust to get in but at that time she was many in clean ports with no rust to come. But I do believe she had abit of rust around some bits

Nice job of weathering - but the real Tirpitz did little during the war except sit around at anchor in some Norwegian fjord trying to look menacing. To keep the really-really bored crew somewhat busy they scraped and repainted everything - a lot.
@EbroinSong3 жыл бұрын
That is absolutely not true. They did't scrap the broadsides, just repaint once a while. Here are some images I used as the reference for weathering. i.imgur.com/y8HwJWd.jpg i.imgur.com/Tp5DyXS.jpg i.imgur.com/wuDU0bj.jpg i.imgur.com/OaLAljH.jpg i.imgur.com/Inusgj2.jpg i.imgur.com/GQfChvi.jpg
