I no longer have any words to describe this level of art. I just hope that Tirpitz finds her place somewhere in a museum where lots of people can see her.

I've been following this build for 2 years now and I can't describe how awesome it is, ebroin is literally the master of his craft and this Tirpitz is one one the few projects on youtube I follow for such a long time, can't wait for her to be completed but I'm also a bit sad that the journey will end soon

Thank you for showing the trick with the Fairleads. I thought mine were poorly detailed too. Also, thank you for showing what colours you used for the hull painting. Will come handy as Admiral Hipper had a similar style in Norway.

I remember painting the hull for my 1:570 Tirpitz and it was a pain (mainly since I masked nothing, just hand painted all, sketching the camo on with a pencil), I prefer her sister ship for the paintjob alone (just slapping on some stripes)

저 매직스컬피라는건 오븐에 넣지않아도 저절로 경화가되는 스컬피인건가요? 정말 마술같은 재료네요.
@EbroinSong3 жыл бұрын

Just curious - why mask the whole deck with tiny pieces of tape? I can understand the tiny areas, but for the larger areas of deck, why not use larger pieces of masking?
@EbroinSong3 жыл бұрын
I used larger pieces. And if the piece is big, I only can use limited place, and if the piece is smaller, I can use it more places.

Hi Ebroin, just finished watching your latest Tirpitz video, another fascinating built, really enjoy watching you work. Noticed you used AK and Lacquer paints, l haven't had much experience with either, what thinner did you use and what ratio. Thanks.
@EbroinSong3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! The ratio depends on the thickness of the paint, the air pressure, nozzle's size, and how much you want to spray. Normally, 1:1~1.5 for lacquer : thinner for a new bottle of paint. For acrylic, there are series that already diluted, like Vallejo Air series, you just pour it into your airbrush without more thinner.

Hi Ebroin, another big thank for content that you have shared with us. One question: why did you decide to clue parts and equip on the deck prior painting? I think it would be much easy to paint them separetely
@EbroinSong3 жыл бұрын
I need to affix some pipes around the turret mounts above the deck. If I affix them after applying the deck sticker, I have to use super glue on the painted surface, which I really hate to do. And the deck sticker need to be corrected. I can't correct it before it is applied.

Great work! Why do you mask the deck with so tiny pieces of tape? Do you think it its easier to paint the deck before placing a wooden sticker?

You’re outstanding by the way. I’ve been in the hobby for 2 years now, only really getting awesome at it in the last few months. I’m almost 100% AFV having been inspired by Plasmo and Panzermeister36. However, since I started watching your vids I just bought a monster Tamiya 1/350 IJN Musashi along with the $180 Flyhawk upgrade kit and I can’t wait to finish it up two years from now 😂 thanks for the inspiration though for real!
