@@CreativeMechanic I have always used the Craftsman 1/4 inch that came with the tool set that I bought at Sears when I was 17 years old back in the '80's. Back then, 1/4 drive size wasn't used extensively, but I have found that on modern cars it has become the "go to" size when dealing with all the disassembly necessary when doing any type of auto repair. I have found my old school Craftsman socket wrenches leaving a lot to be desired. This is why I am interested in content like your video which I hope will be a guide toward expanding my 1/4" drive capabilities. I have recently realized that I need a much better solution in the area of ratcheting bit holder wrenches as well since I am finding more and more Torx fasteners being used today.

Yeah. It’s difficult to find a one size fits all ratchet. But those gearwench bit drivers are great

For DIY at the house, as a noob, I've been happy enough with just a Williams 36 tooth Flex handle (despite the back drag) and Icon stubby, but it's nice knowing what else could help me out when I inevitably get in a pinch down the road

Cool video. My favorite 1/4 inch is a nepros 290fs. Its a short flex non locking head.

I have the low profile 1/4, 3/8 ko ken sockets and there nice. Nepros makes tools that are so nice you almost don’t want to use them. Ko ken ratchets are as low back drag as they say.

Nice video. All these different styles of ratchets seem like a testament to how car engineers these days don't give two farts about mechanics and their ability to access what they need to fix.

Then again, maybe they're in cahoots with the service drives, in that more parts that need to be removed for access leads to more labor hours and $ to charge the customer. No sé.

Yeah. There’s a big conspiracy going around about “planned obsolescence”. Another thing is that modern engineers graduate with little to no mechanical aptitude. Everything happens in a computer

I realy like my Snap-On Mp in 1/4 and 3/8 then for normal use i prefer Ko-ken and Stahlwille ratchets 🥰

I’ve Heard a lot about the Koken. Is it easy to find replacement parts for them ? I like snap on cuz they will repair them on the truck for you

I run the Wera tool cases. Because in a tool bag they are very convenient. But day to day I don’t use it as often. I think the 3/8 version of it works better

To be honest that's all I use is 1/4 in my box. I have 5 ratchets and If I need a 3/8 I just pop on the adapter.

Matco makes the best ratchet. Your snap on ratchets are trash, throw them in the garbage. And you have a bunch of brands no one has heard of because they are junk from Walmart. Your not a real mechanic
