Zhu Yuan is still a really good burst damage option, then if the enemy has Ether weakness she is still the best option. I think having a pocket Zhu Yuan is worth it tbh

in my opinion, if u don't like the character and want to pull a meta or long-lasting character, it is not recommended to pull zhuyuan or ellen because they might get powercreeped in the next patch or several patches in the future. I recommend waiting for jane doe or just pulling a new character. we can see how yanagi and jane are really much better than the two of them. but if you really like the character, just pull it.

Ellen in 1.4 because Miyabi Ice Anomaly. Zhu Yuan in 1.5 because Idol faction has an Ether Anomaly unit. There's my take that makes sense. And yes, I'm rolling for Ellen over Miyabi, idc about the doomers shouting "OMG Miyabi Power creep, Ellen is powercrept roll Miyabi only!" Ellen getting another rerun after this one is wayyyy farther into the future than a Miyabi rerun. So, this is probably the last chance to pull Ellen for a LONG time. 🦈❄

I hope ZZZ is not gonna print units like HSR and slows down, so we can have 1 new unit and 1 rerun per patch. Genshin has best pace with such system (now of course it's 1 new + 1 rerun and then 2 reruns per patch, but still ok for a 4yo game) and then we have HSR with it's powercreep going bonkers, because they release too much characters.

Miyabi IS an attacker, she is a dps that focuses on cirt rate and crit damage its just that shes anomaly b/c her damage is enabled by other units creating disorders i.e like Yanagi. She is ZZZ's version of acheron. A crit dps put in the dot i.e anomaly playstlye enabled by teammates applying dots i.e disorders.

Isn’t it safe to say if Miyabi is a brand new element, Frost, then Ellen will retain her position as an ice DPS? Unless Frost and Ice will just be different terms for the same element, I think Ellen will still be fine.

Frost is technically a new element, but also not. From what I understand it's basically a better version of ice with a unique anomaly, so it scales off ice damage and ice res and stuff like that. With Miyabi kind of looking like both an attacker and an anomaly fused together, she does kind of powercreep Ellen.
