During this day is when Prophet Mohammad declared Ali ibn Abi Taleb as the leader after his departure. It is the most important event that took place and Shias celebrate that day in recognition of God sending the message to Prophet Mohammad to declare Imam Ali as the leader of the Muslims (wilayah).
