From the asthetic, this dish looks like a particular dish in Vietnam called "Water Drift Cake" (I think it originate from China). The difference is that the VN variation is much simpler with only a small cube of brown sugar inside and the heat will partially melt the sugar. When bitten into the perfectly cooked one, you can both taste the sweetness of the sugar syrup, the softness and chewiness of the dough while the half-melted sugar cube will be slightly crunchy and it'll just melt in your mouth slowly. Oh and there are no sauce or topping like the one in the video but a tiny pinch of roasted sesame seed. The way to enjoy it is to use a small skewer to poke and just eat it like dango.
