1 Cool Thing: Acer Predator Helios 700

For anyone watching this video, the GPU (either the 2080 or the 2070) is NOT Max-Q! It's the full powered version, which performs much better than the Max-Q. Second; how is this not portable? It's literally 1 piece which fits in a backpack + the power charger. If you are too weak to carry 6-7 kgs on your back, then it might be time to hit the gym.. Now, granted, I had to get a bigger backpack when I bought one of these, but if you get one with decent back support, any adult can carry it around with no issues. It's really no problem having this on your lap either. The rubber feet under the machine are wide enough so that they don't dig into your legs. That said, if you don't need the wrist rest (which I do) or the absolute best performance possible in games, then there are probably quite a few better alternatives out there. But if you want top performance, you have to sacrifice a bit of portability.

How is the thermals, especially when it sits on your lap? I want to purchase one, but want to be able to game on my lap without burning myself or the PC up.

@@phoenixkai9862 I use this on my lap all the time. No problem. Gets kinda hot if you limit the fan speeds to 2K or so, but on Auto it's nice and cool (but potentially noisy). It is a heavy beast though, so expect to want to take breaks now and then to relieve the pressure, so to speak. I can sit for a few hours at a time with no issues though.

@@PragmaticTornado that's a relief, so what's the highest temperature the GPU and CPU has reached since you've had it? Also I apologize for a lot of questions, as this will be my first gaming laptop so asking around and doing research is what I've been doing.

@@phoenixkai9862 CPU around 95C and GPU 76 or something. With fixed fan speeds of course. Auto = maybe 85 / 70. With max fan speeds the CPU barely breaks 70. But it sounds like a jet plane taking off.

Still one of the best laptops on the market. The coolest running 2080 Max-P. They never even advertised their large vapor chamber. Alienware Area-51M is the competition to this.

Just ordered mine today. I bought an MSI laptop a month ago and last week I bought an older Acer Predator. I wanted to get the Predator 21X, but they're not really available. So this was the next best choice for me.

The 2070 isnt max-q,it is the normal laptop dsign,like the 51m

Oh thank goodness, I am considering getting this laptop for the normal gpu, instead of another smaller one with the max-q. Is a tradeoff I'm considering for the extra power

i have this laptop and , its the only 1 who have nothing bad on temperatures ,for me its very good laptop , i can play games without turbo mode so i no need 10000000 fps ,60 fps in some games its very good, for shooter games i need max 144 fps coz the diplay its 144 Hz so i think its the best laptop for regular players ,for pros its desktop , desktop its the king in any ways so who want no more cables and things on hes desk this laptop its very good and nice , peace :)) !!!

Which one would you recommend? 2070 or 2080 Version? if i play 4k with non ultra settings! high settings Max and without dlss and raytracing?

2080 will give you way better frames. I would recommend the 2080 version but it depends on what your taste is.

Is the rtx 2080 worth to pay 550 Euros more for the laptop? Rtx 2070, 2.440 Euro or rtx 2080, 2.999 Euro

No. I advise against buying any rtx GPU's because we aren't at a stage of taking full advantage of them. Stick with a gtx gpu. Save yourself some money. If you REALLY want this thing and have the money then only get the 2070. You won't regret it. 😉

Right now you're spending more money than you have to when the pc you get now that has rtx gpu will be slightly outdated by the time we unlock its full potential in a couple of years. They're very few games utilizing ray tracing right now. Battlefield is one of those few. In fact Less than 10 games use ray tracing and is still in the works. Good luck my friend.

This with the I7 and rtx 2070 144hz or the ge75 9sf with an I7 and rtx 2070, 240hz? Which one is better for gpu Performance and gaming? I mean is the acer predator helios 700 an Overkill for an rtx 2070? Am i almost Same Performance with an msi ge75 9sf?

@@Bryan1500 trolls gotta hate. I just ordered today. Found one in mint condition. I wanted the Predator 21X, but I couldn't find any for sale. So this was the next alternative. I'll probably still get the 21X if I ever find one.
